Model Viewer Bugs
Return to board index

To be more specific, the Flash model for male Worgen has an extra set of arms from the elbow down sticking out of their ankles. (Java version is fine)
These second arms also show gloves and bracers when viewing them.
It shows up when using the view in 3d button and also in the profiler.
Running firefox 3.6 and updated to latest version of Flash player.

- Spiked crabs that have fluorescent markings do not display the markings in your model viewer (Flash or Java), and just look like plain spiked crabs. The NPCs affected include
Pyreshell Scuttler
and
Enormous Sand Crab
(possibly also some critter versions).
- fire turtles do not display the full glow effects. The shell still looks rust red with some patches of flame. npcs include
Terrorpene
,
Volcanoth
,
Nemesis
and
Nemesis
.
- the new hell hound model (PTR only): some of the fire effects are rendered as a huge fiery hernia artefact under the beast's belly. For example
Hell Hound
.
-
Lost Ravager
is shown as having the skin "crawlervar2" when in fact it exclusively uses "crawlervar4". Though this isn't really a model viewer bug as much as an incorrect data bug.

It seems that every time I activate the 3D preview after not using it for some time/days, it starts in Java mode, annoying as that freezes the browser (both IE and FF) for a second. It this setting stored in a cookie or in the account?

Firefox 5.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.6.8 when I load the Java viewer all I get is a white window. The flash one works, but it's bad quality. If I load it up in Safari, it works just fine. So it's specific to Firefox, not the Mac.

When using the Java model viewer, it seems to work fine the first time I try viewing a model, but subsequent viewings that should be faster actually refuse to finish loading at all. It starts and just never gets anywhere. I also seem to get a new, duplicate instance of the Java program opened each time I attempt to use the Java model viewer.
-Edit-
Just like previous posters, I'm using Firefox and get the white screen on the window.
-Edit2-
Clearing my cookies/cache seems to allow me to view an object again, as I expected. The error doesn't occur 100% of the time though.

Using Firefox 5.0.1 in OS X Lion 10.7.0, with Java SE 6, version 1.6.0_26-b03-383
I have cleared every single cache and other kind of file I can find, both in the browser and in Java Preferences. Still, the Java version of the model viewer never works.
It pops up the little window, gives me the spinning beachball for a while, and then sits there. I mouseover the dropdown that says to do so, and it then says it's loading, but nothing happens after that. No matter how long I wait.
Safari version 5.1 does the same thing, only gets to a point where it says "Error. Click here for details" (though, upon clicking, no details are given) and again, nothing ever happens.
Is this a Lion issue, Mac issue, Browser issue, something else?

This is not just a Mac issue, I'm having it across three different PCs, and it's driving me insane. On one of the PCs it's so bad that I have to completely terminate Chrome and open it again.
