True.
But we have no idea how Azerothian coins are made or who makes them or why that person makes them.
For all we know, they may just be chunks of copper, silver, or gold.

Since all civilized races use them, guessing it's an accepted form of currency that is minted the world over.

Hm, you know, with Xehanort coming back...wonder if we'll see the other original members of OXIII making a return as well...well, long as their Heartless were killed before their Nobodies of course.
And yes, just musing, as creating the outline for the fan-fic has brought these kinds of questions up in my mind.
Edit: And while they may have that core...you'd still have to get the rest of the metal off it first, and even then, wouldn't be the same as an actual Azerothian copper coin.
I hope so =D

And if there Heartless were killed...did Sora and Co do it? And will we remember which of the massive Heartless we faced were actually the OXIII ones?

Just checked wowpedia and it doesn't say much on actual lore. But apparently, alliance and horde have seperate coin styles.
From what I can figure, a bit of copper would work just as well, as weighin it would give someone an idea of how many coins it could be smelted into at a local smith.
The hardest part I see is grinding apart the coins to get to the cores.

I sorta doubt the tiny amount of copper in the middle of modern coins would be equal to even one Azerothian copper coin.

I sort of hope we don't see any of the Organization again. I don't like killing anything more than once.
As in their original bodies, not a return of the actual Nobodies.

Then you'll hate BBS.
Braig is a huge headache on the Terra scenario. Aqua isn't so bad, as she is able to block the vast majority of his attacks. But Terra literally took me almost an hour of fighting (dodging until his sniper shot, then blocking that back at him... soooooo boring...)
And how much would an inn room probably cost? I figure gold coins would be like a dollar coin in size, then copper would be like a penny. A few cores could be one copper coin...

I want them on my side >.>
But it could be because I go all fanboy over Orgy XIII.

I didn't find him that hard, once I got the flow down; most recent play through he could only do his snipe attack twice, as the Ragnarok shotlock is the win.

You managed to shotlock him?
Whenever I try going on the offensive, he blows me out of the water with two bursts. Same with Aqua, who I'm a LOT better with than Terra.

In terms of coinage it is more than likely the matter of minting. During the process from medieval eras and the like, coins with symbols of various nations stamped on them denoted the purity of the content be it copper, silver or such as the country would insert a specific amount of whichever mineral into it. So the coins value was in relation to whichever nation had minted them as that nation did so with a specific purity content, and as such traders could tell the value just by looking at the coins face.

Yeah, but Azeroth coins are pure gold, silver, or copper and printed with either alliance or horde faces.
So, the question still stands: Would a chunck of copper work just as well as actual money?

My point still stands, for me at least. Changed name and body, still the same person. Not exactly heh; just look at Xehanort, Ansem Seeker of Darkness and Xenmas: Three sides of the same being, and other then the obsession with Kingdom Hearts, all three took different paths.
Same could be said of Braig and Xigbar; the Nobody version is more laid back then the human one....still want to meet his Heartless though.
But I merely meant, would be interesting to see if we had killed OXIII Heartless during the games, as that's the only way the originals can come back: Heartless dies first then the Nobody; it's how Xehanort is coming back, though I'm not sure if that's for the 3DS game or for the actual KH3 when it's finally released.

Easily; just a matter of getting nearly max distance and using ones that aren't interuptable while charging them; cleaned his clock like nothing.
So, the question still stands: Would a chunck of copper work just as well as actual money? No, because it's not weighted, minted, or stamped.

No. You would have to assume it is wholly made of copper to accept it as currency in the first place and no one would do that.

Also, that's probably exactly what I'd do, Hell. I don't like having people mad at me/disappointed in me.

Meh.
On a similiar note: Anyone else want to make a real page for Harvest Witches on Wowpedia? The actual mention of them in game, added with what we see, is actually rather informative.
The current page is a single line that is labeled as speculation...
