Clayton paused and thought. He did realize Michael was right, and that he was just hoping to play out a bluff to snap the man back into reality.
"Alright then, since we've ruled that pain is irrelevant, and let's say you can't control your dream," Clayton said aloud, "we'll just leave you here then. Simple enough; let the fear of the unknown get to ya. Not knowing in the back of your head if I'm really telling the truth, or just going on and accepting something that'll seem less likely every day as time goes on," he said as he sat down.

"Well, whatever the case, I can't seem to wake up," Michael answered flatly. "So I suppose I'm stuck here. Not exactly the most pleasant of scenarios, but might as well, make the best of it, I guess."

"Well it's certainly not real," Michael answered Hyper with a shrug. "The claim that we were actually magically transported to a real version of a fictional world is patently ridiculous. Maybe it's a dream, maybe it's some kind of freaky-real simulation we've been thrown into, but there's no way this can actually be Azeroth. The odds that humans happened to come up with a fictional world that actually matches an existing universe are astronomical, and then you'd have to bridge one universe to another to get us there, which there's no way of doing. Thus, it stands to reason that we are
not
actually on Azeroth, and a less unlikely explanation is probably correct."

JJ kept quiet, following the reasonings of both sides, his other hand resting on the handle of his axe.

Michael's lip visibly twitched at the mention of God, but he didn't say anything.
"It's not denial, it's critical reasoning. It is far more likely that this is an extremely vivid and detailed dream than that this is actually an exact copy of a world that exists only in fiction on Earth and that we were magically transported here."

Clayton listened for a while, seeing both sides of the arguement.
"Looks, new guy, I'd usually buy your logic easy since that's my exact reasoning in my head; but after getting the hell beat out of me, I'm not taking chances," he shrugged.

"And if I were dreaming, how would I know that you're thinking logically and reasoning for yourself, rather than running off of my brainpower?" Michael asked. "And supposing you were dreaming me up, how would you know that I'm sentient? One can only speak for their own awareness, and thus existence. You can't prove I am not a figament of your imagination, and I cannot prove that you are not. There's no contradiction."

Clayton sighed to himself before turning and placing a hand on Hyper's shoulder.
"Just drop it, there's no use bothering," he said before returning to eating some bread and just watching the new guy.
