So how many people went from the ghostlands to the plaguelands on their first blood elf?
lol got 1 shot by some lvl skull thing i was like :O where do i got now? (all the mobs were grey and no more quests). And almost deleted my character like "this is @#$% there's no way out".
Until someone mentioned the orb of translocation xD, I waslike "where's that" and some guy was like "lol noob near the king dude lolzor"
Still took me about 15 minutes of running round silvermoon till i found it, the place is like a maze.

My newbie story: First class was a warlock, never bought Life tap spell as I couldn't see the reason to loose health for mana.
it took me about 2 weeks of playing until I found my way to Orgrimmar (Forsaken ftw!). The AH was the big thing and all the cloth I sold, so fast to sell 2 stacks of wool cloth for 30 silver each, and oh the glory to find out that you can search for an item and see what others priced their goods, alot more money coming into my pocket :o
at lv 20 (first char, 1 week played) I did discover the eat n drink trick without anyone telling me.
it took me like 2 months and alot of alts (all undead as I didn't like the other races) to find ragefire chasm. So young, so much you did wrong, so much I have learned, and still learns.
I suck at doing dps, so I do actually admires those who can do good dps and still not stand in fire.
I dislike (hate is a very strong word) bad tanks and healers as that's what I specialised in.
Paladin and warlock fan.

Leveling as holy on my paladin in vanilla. That holy shock looked so shiny!
I leveled my Pally as Holy too. However, I did it because I didn't realize there was a Prot and Ret tree hiding behind the Holy tree. Why did Blizz put the healing tree as the default one you see? WTF? QQ :P
Actually, they're in alphabetical order. Holy > Protection > Retribution, Elemental > Enhancement > Restoration.
Took me forever to figure that one out... *noob moment*
I have never realized this..... ugh... I'm so terrible.
My first character was a hunter, and I was the definition of a huntard. Luckily, my friend told me to stop playing that and play with him on a different server. I rolled a mage, and learned so much so quickly. I still go back and look and my hunters gear and just giggle at it.

I had many noob moments in my WoW life. Some were successful noob moments, most were horrid.
1. I began my gold begging buisness and gained about 20 gold. Blizzard got to me and gave everyone their gold. I sure learned a lesson.
2. We had a shaman tank during TBC on my first deadmines run. We did it, Who woulda known this could happen?
3. I learned that Shadow spec killed creatures faster than holy or discipline priests could ever do. Took me eighty levels to figure that out .( -_-)
4. Old world epics are soemtimes not really worth the gold no matter what design it has. ( but the cheapest old world epic i bought was 5 gold and it was lei of lillies)
5. Mind control can be used on players.

Ok lets see:
On my first char (war) I used my gun as primary attack until mobs were too close.
There is a place between Loch and Wetlands where you can jump down and I did that and died. I saw I lost all my hp and later when I had more hp I tried the jump again because I thought I had enough hp to survive...

I heard a tip that the black whelplings have a very low chance to drop a pet that sold for thousands of gold.
So I spent four hours grinding the black whelplings in Redridge.
Also, I didn't carry food around until around level 65 or so. "Why would I sit there for 30 seconds like a sitting duck, and heal out of combat when nothing is attacking me? That's stupid."
I play a Rogue.

I probably played like, 6 months before I realized you could eat and drink at the same time.
I didn't know this until I saw it pop up on my load screen.
The first couple of days of me trying to heal on my priest. I leveled up to 68 just through questing and had no experience, but I knew I wanted to be a healer at 80. I had Grid and Clique set up, but I was just horrible. People would die, usually myself - I was terrible for standing in fire. I couldn't read an encounter at all. We would often just scrape through a boss fight after I died with the tank blowing all cooldowns. This was in
Reg UK.
In Nexus, I think it took me about 20 attempts to down Keristrasza the first time. After dying about 4 times to Intense Cold and being told what I had to do, I then thought that I literally had to run laps of the entire room. Unfortunately, being new to healing, I wasn't very practiced at moving and casting at the same time. Not to mention getting tail-whipped and breathed all the time. Eventually someone taught me how to strafe.

Funny tread can see myself with almost all of the stuff you ppl have been doing =)
Since i started out I made so many alts I cant even begin to remember em all, but one of the big noob moments I recall is when my brand new nightelf druid reached level 10 and I was about to go to Moonglade for the bearform quest.
Was such an lazy moron so didnt notice I had got the "Teleport to Moonglade" spell so I tried to run trough Felwood to get there, dont know how many hours I spent corpse running, getting lost and finnaly rage quiting and delete the char.
Took over 1,5 year before I made an druid again :P

Probably one of the biggest noob moments I've had was being told that tanking in Arms spec was not the way to go. At level 78.
And yes, I was the "Well, it worked so far..." person.
Edit: Spelling
