Warlocks
Classes: General
Several persistent ground effects now display different visuals for hostile and friendly players. The following spells have the same visual effects for friendly players, but new alternate visuals for hostile players: Ring of Frost, Consecration, Desecration, Wild Mushroom, Flare, Ice Trap, Power Word: Barrier, Smoke Bomb, and
Hand of Gul'dan
. As a general rule, the alternate effects have a red tint or hue indicating they are created by an enemy player.
Honor is now purchasable from the Justice Commodities Vendor at 250 Honor per 375 Justice.
Justice is now purchasable from the Honor Commodities Vendor at 250 Justice per 375 Honor.
Conquest is now purchasable from the Valor vendor at 250 Conquest per 250 Valor.
All Warlock Specs
Dark Intent: The friendly target of this ability now receives 1% (stacking 3 times to 3%) periodic spell damage and healing bonus instead of 3% (stacking 3 times to 9%). The casting Warlock still receives 3% (stacking 3 times to 9%).
Affliction
Haunt damage has been increased by 30%.
Shadow Mastery (passive) has been increased to 30%, up from 25%.
Seed of Corruption damage has been increased by 20%.
Unstable Affliction damage done when it is dispelled has been doubled, but this damage can no longer be critical.
Glyphs Glyph of Soul Swap now increases the cooldown of Soul Swap by 15 seconds, up from 10 seconds.
Haunt: You send a ghostly soul into the target, dealing ((($SP * 0.429)0.5577) * 1.25) + 922 Shadow damage and increasing all damage done by your Shadow damage-over-time effects on the target by 20% for 12 sec. When the Haunt spell ends or is dispelled, the soul returns to you, healing you for 100% of the damage it did to the target
Demonology
Mana Feed now restores more mana (four times as much) when the warlock is using a Felguard or Felhunter.
Destuction
Rain of Fire damage has been increased by 25%.
Pets
Doomguard's damage has been increased by 50%. The Doomguard is intended to be the best guardian for single-target damage, and the Infernal the best when there are multiple targets.
Shadow Bite (Felhunter) damage and effect has doubled.
Lash of Pain (Succubus) damage now scales with level, reducing the damage done at lower levels such that it will deal 50% damage at level 20, and 100% damage at level 80 and above.
The amount that Fel Guard's Legion Strike reduces healing by has been removed from the tooltip.

Offical Patch Notes

good idea to get this thread up and running.
also, nice idea from blizz for the pet fix.
we were just discussing possible fixes for the pet problem and this wasn't one we though of.
...is it enough though...

^^ That was my question. Can we now exclusively use Felguard for Demo, given the mana feed change?

I have no doubt that as Afllic I'll still be swaping between Fel Puppy and Imp for heroics, and probably for raids too. Having an interupt and a self dispel is just too good to pass up. I love being able to say to the healer "Don't worry man. I got this."

So originally I got these changes from WoW Insider, but it seems they are not as accurate as one would like. Out of curiosity I was looking at the official forums and there were updates on there that hadn't featured in the WoW Insider article I was looking at. So I've added them.
Edit: Looked over these again, and hot damn I'm excited about that Fel Hunter change and the Shadow Mastery change.

Um you can't have both the interrupt and the self dispel at 1 given time. Unless you soulburn swap your pets (Devour Magic is offensive only).
P.S. about the patch notes, I think I creamed my pants xD affliction buff and finally the felguard being back as top dawg for demo <3

Ah yeah I didn't actually mean at the same time, but it is badly worded. Generally specific fights have one specific thing that I'll be needing to take care of so switching isn't a big deal.

Nice, hope this goes life.
Cant wait to respec to a proper aff drain spec with felhunter and mana feed.
I always wanted my secundary PvE spec to be as close to my primary PvP spec as possible and this will do.

Not really sure if buffing Haunt's damage was on top of my priority list for changes though...or am I reading that wrong? I'm pretty sure it's just a 30% increase to Haunt's damage upon hitting the target...right?
Anything that increases my damage in PvP is rather welcome I'd say :)
But Haunt heals you for 100% of the damage it dealt to the target, so increasing its damage also increases its healing.
Suddenly I really want this patch to hit...asap..
Same ^_^ Except I don't even have nef or alakir normal down yet -_-

Not sure on the rationale, but can only assume there were PvP concerns with Affliction self healing.
If there were issues with the self healing, I think they'd increase siphon life or something, not buff Haunt damage and shadow mastery (seeing as shadow mastery only increases Haunt's healing, siphon life and drain life on the other hand are both hp percentage based)

Mastery does not increase haunt dmg as it is not periodic dmg (as far as i know).
EDIT: Shadow mastery on the other hand (as pointed out by draconis, ty) does.
Its a small buff but i am not fussy when it comes to lock buffs.
That said, i rather have UA dispel dmg increased by 30%.

my bad, I forgot it was only periodic damage that gets buffed from mastery. Edited my last post.
And now that I come to think of it, yeah UA dispel definitely could use a buff.

They havn't buffed mastery. "Shadow mastery" is the passive bonus you get for choosing afflic, just like the bonus you get on the demo tree that buffs both fire and shadow damage by a certain amount (I can't remember what it is right now).

UA doesn't last long enough for people to bother dispelling I think. And if you buffed the damage it does when dispelled, it would just be even more incentive to ignore it.
