Stat Weighting: What stats does it prioritize and how did Wowhead decide which to use?

A few questions:
When you search for items on Wowhead and use the Stat Weighting, is there any way to know how it determines its weight values?
How does Wowhead determine how stats are prioritized for the weighting?
When you tell the Stat Weights to automatically reforge stats, how did Wowhead choose stat priority?
I ask, because it doesn't seem quite right in certain places. Take for example this
link
.
On that page, I want to see all the 359 epic rings with agility on them. I also want to use Stat Weighting for a Feral DPS Druid. And I choose for it to automatically reforge stats.
Anyone who is on top of their Feral DPS game knows that the stats prioritize like this:
Agility > Crit/Mastery > Haste > everything else
That priority of stats is from Tankspot, Elitist Jerks, etc... They all say the same.
Now go back and look at the link with the rings:
Signet of the Elder Council
(
Haste / Mastery
) -
Haste should be reforged to Crit
Hornet-Sting Band
(
Haste / Mastery
) -
Haste should be reforged to Crit
Gilnean Ring of Ruination
(
Hit / Haste
) - Hit is reforged to Mastery. This is fine. Could also be reforged to Crit instead. Too close to call on those two stats. (Mastery might be slightly better)
Lightning Conductor Band
(
Hit / Crit
) - Crit is reforged to Mastery. Okay now this is a really weird one. Every good raiding feral dps druid knows that Hit and Expertise is absolutely useless right now. Yet, Wowhead keeps the hit and reforges the Crit instead. What is up with this?
Okay so what I'm getting at here, is how did Wowhead determine what stats get reforged to what? I remember maybe 2 months ago looking at all the stat weighting and reforging for Feral DPS gear and Wowhead had every single stat being reforged to Haste! Guess someone realized that was not good because it's not like that anymore.
One suggestion
- For the example of Feral DPS druids, a lot of Tankspot & Elistist Jerks theorycrafters have determined that Agility > Mastery/Crit > Haste > everything else, but everyone is always entitled to their own opinion on which stats work best for them. Has Wowhead considered adding in the ability to customize what stats get reforged into what? Perhaps add in a stat prioritizing system where the user is able to specify what stats are greater than others, and then Wowhead uses that to determine what is reforged into what, and also determine the stat weighting values. Make sense? That will probably be a bit of working on the programming side, but if Wowhead already uses an internal stat prioritizing system for each class already, just allowing it to be customized by users would make this a reality.

When you search for items on Wowhead and use the Stat Weighting, is there any way to know how it determines its weight values?
Click the show details link.
How does Wowhead determine how stats are prioritized for the weighting?
User input or EJ weights (sources checked).
When you tell the Stat Weights to automatically reforge stats, how did Wowhead choose stat priority?
Relocate the stat with the lowest value on the item with the stat with the highest value not on the item.
I ask, because it doesn't seem quite right in certain places. Take for example this

.
Wowhead has Agility 100, Mastery 35, Haste 32, Hit 29, Expertise 28 and Haste 28 as their Feral DPS stats.
So yes, it does seem a bit off in my limited experience, I'd suggest adjusting it manually until it's changed.
I also suggest leaving a EJ link with the updated stats on the Druid forums or the theorycrafting thread.
Not
this thread.

I'm personally going to be going through all the stat weights sometime tomorrow and making sure they are all up to date. So Stay Tuned!

Oh wow, I had no idea that I could click Show Details and manually adjust the weighting! That should really be more obvious. Maybe change the link to say "Manually adjust stat weights" or something like that? Man, this is very helpful. Wish I knew it was hidden in there a long long time ago.
One other suggestion/request: When you are displaying items with stat weighting and you automatically reforge the stats, the tabular list of items, still shows the old stats listed in each column. It would be nice if it automatically displayed the updated stats after reforging.
Thanks for the help guys

Yeah there's a stat weightings thread in each of the class forums. It's up to the Wowhead folks to read it and up to us to update it. That said, I'm sure that if I've totally forgotten to check it out that the other Druids might have.
The other problem is that as you get gear your weights change. I know there's an inflection point where Haste overtakes Crit in Feral Druid gearing. You can't really model that with a static stat weight system; so, which do you put?

Just finished updating everything but Blood Death Knights (no good info there). Any suggestions are helpful.
