There's no real way to optimize that macro, unless you want to add '#showtooltip' but that won't affect the function of the macro

So, the difference is that if you /use an item by name and the item is in your bags
and
you are out of combat, it will equip the item. If you /use a slot by number, it will always just try to use whatever's equipped there at the time.
At least, I think I remember that as being accurate. In fact, I seem to remember even more wrinkle in this from a post several years ago where someone discovered that there was actually a difference between /use and /cast as it relates to items and using the use effect of an item and equipping it.
