New to disc,..besides the obvious heals, what is my damage rotation in pvp?

Hello there,
I just started a second Priest (Goblin) about a week ago and decided to try out the disc tree. My other Priest is Shadow (lvl 80). I am doing a lot (almost exclusively) of BG healing but I am confused about my damage rotation when I am up against someone 1 on 1. I can imagine using my two dots ( SHW Pain and DP) but, besides that, what is my rotation, if there is one? Do I start with Holy Fire? Or smite since I put points into Evangelism (Which seems a bit of a waste to me imo, since I rarely use smite), or Mind blast? Do I even use mind blast?
Most of the time I use my two dots then use penance which seems to do pretty nice damage.
It also seems like I get killed pretty easily since every toon under the moon nowadays got eternal stuns, immune to fear etc. But anyway, if I could get some damage advice, I'd appreciated it.
The Priest sticky seems a bit outdated, unless I missed a it.
Thanks.
Here is my armory, just in case. Wouldn't mind someone double checking my point allocation.

Mind Spike is your most efficient and spammable damage dealer.
DoTs are for times on the run, but really aren't efficient nor are they particularly hard to heal through. You probably won't have the GCDs to cast DoTs against full DPS teams, and it's a waste of mana against any team with a healer.
Holy Fire + Smite is slower, more expensive, and weaker than Mind Spiking.
Mind Blast damage is pitiful, even when it's a critical hit. Don't use it (even if you have Mind Spike stacks).
Mana Burn is a good way to force a pummel, CC, or LoS. Or they get mana burned.
Please don't use Penance as a DPS tool except in extremely rare cases where you really must do that ~6000 dmg as the enemy goes around the pillar and off your LoS from a distance. It's a vital healing spell. Mind Spike is faster, more efficient, and deadlier overall.
A PvP spec shouldn't have Archangel and Atonement in it. You should never be Smiting. It's slow, weak (even with the glyph), and leaves your Holy school open to getting pummeled. Not good.
Don't 1v1. You're not going to kill anyone, Mind Spiking or DoTing. In the near future, you should be able to run away with more ease.

Well I should have clarified a bit better what level I am in my op. I WAS lvl 53 at that point, now at 57 (almost 58). So, I don't have mind spike yet, even mana burn. This might change some of your opinions above in regards to what to use.
Anyway, not sure why and how it changed but, my survival increased by a bunch these last 4-5 levels. Not sure if I got more used to it or what. I kept switching between shadow and disc, and finally decided to just stick with disc whenever I go into a BG.
Might have also been that I had not used all my glyph slots, who knows.
In regards to not to do 1v1, well, sometimes I'm just stuck in that situation. Strangely, believe it or not, this happens quite often, usually in AB and/or EotS, where Im at a node w/ a bunch a people, everybody leaves and I am stuck by myself as a healer sitting at the node. Dumb imo. You know how these peeps are,..take a node, and just leave, lol.
The survival is surprisingly good. Usually I manage to finish the opponent off despite the much weaker damage output compared to shadow.
I am surprised that you advise against using penance as damage. That's usually a huge burst. I am not using it on a constant basis though.
I do open with my two dots, then try to get distance by casting fear. That usually gives me time to cast smite. I cast it because I do have points in archangel. IF he/she runs off, that's the only time I use penance.
So, having clarified my lvl, do you still advice me not to put points into archangel? I don't have points in atonement. I know my main function in BG is to strictly heal but, as mentioned before, there are times when I am forced to hit back :)
Anyway, thanks for the great suggestions so far.

Love how most people are so used to the generic question that half the replies aren't even considering that you're a lowbie.
I haven't been able to check the lowbie PvP situation out thanks to being an altoholic during 3.2 and leveled everything to atleast 70, but priests were never really survivalists at lower levels since their only form of escape is Psychic Scream, which has a hefty cooldown.
I'd say either give holy a go until later levels, their bubblesprint is quite useful and never stay at a node alone as a healer, you'll always be more useful trying to help out your teammates than by yourself, if that means you'll lose the node, then that's not your fault nor your responsibility.
As far as damage goes, mind blast whenver possible (assuming it still does decent damage at that level without going shadow), holy fire and smitespam. And without atonement, archangel isn't exactly great.
I'd go for
this (without Arch/Atonement)
or
this (with Arch/Atonement)
