I have a 69 warrior i'm tuning into a pvp character for 85. I have been dungeon lvling as a tank up until now when I could dual spec and get titan's grip.
I went to a bg to try it out and f ound i was doing alot better as prot. With fury i found taht i was dieing too quickly and not outputting much dmg. This is pbly b/c i have no idea how to play fury.
So what is the preffered class now for pvp? Is it fury or arms? Also what advice can you give me on pvping as fury or arms?

Fury likes lots of hit rating to keep rage up. At level 69, unless you have tons of gem gear, I don't think you'll have enough hit. Arms is a very good way to go. You'll be between the damage of fury, and the defensive properties of prot. Arms has a solid stun, less mobility than prot, but more than fury (in my opinion), and good offensive capabilities. I love fury, but I don't think it's viable if you don't have the stats. Arms has been a good fall-back for me since the beginning of my time doing warrior PvP. I played prot PvP at 80 for a little while, then mostly arms, with fury in 4.0.1.
Tl;dr - Arms is the most basic choice to make for PvP right now. It's fairly simple, fairly balanced, and the 'most preferred' spec right now. Not saying fury or prot is bad, but Arms is a solid choice at all times.

for me, i always played arms from vanilla up until bc. since then though, i've stuck to prot pvp. like someone else said, lots of mobility, tons of stuns, huge survivability and of course the lovely spell reflect 5 sec uptime, 6 sec cd (glyphed). arms is definitely the power hitter right now and the top dmg pvp spec but the others are viable and play good roles if you do it right..
good luck
