Ok so the tol barad hot fix is now 1800 hp up from 180 for an attacker that wins. 180 for team that sucessfully defends. Will this create sandbagging?
When a defender intentionally looses to come back and win next round? Was this a true "hotfix" till blizzard can come up with a better idea?

The thing is, the problem with tol barad is that its insanely easy to defend, so unless there was some change to make attacking easier this will just be there to make people stick with it until they figure out an effective fix.

thats my point. Is tol barad about player vs player or about getting HP to purchase pvp gear and the qest hub. 1800 HP is motivation for the defending team to lose. Winning as an attacker is equal to winning 10 times as a defender. If the defender looses on purpose then comes back to win as attacker both factions are getting a lot of HP without any real effort. I guess it was an easy hot fix till blizz can sit around a large table and start thinkin'

But it will not really fix anything. People will be more interested in winning..
......People are always interested in winning, that's the point of a BG.

On my server, at least, this won't make a difference. We're heavily horde dominated, to the point where for any given Tol Barad, if we're lucky 1-2 alliance show up, and unless you queue as soon as it's available you won't get one of the five Tol Barad slots that are available. So for the Horde there's no incentive to lose Tol Barad, as there's no guarantee you'll get into the next one - in fact, odds are against it. I know I'll be keeping an eye out for any switch (probably first thing in the morning) and trying to get in for that queue (as we'll probably win - most times no alliance show up) for the free 1800 honor.
What needs to happen is a way of locking a point down, possibly tied to the towers? Destroy a tower while you have a point held, and that point becomes locked to the attackers?

I think some smart servers will just win, lose, win, lose to gain as many honor points as possible for both sides. Kinda destroys the idea of fighting for it. But then again, probably not many servers will do this. If any at all.

There has been alot of attempted organization of realm-wide win trading on various servers, but at this point it's very hit and miss. Alot of people don't even know this fix is in, or don't believe it (it does sound ludicrous tbh), or are all 'for the horde/we'll keep trying" and just defend for the sake of.
We actually just won a match on my server as attackers and I got my free piece of honor gear out of it. I'm sure it had something to do with the handful of Alliance defenders that hung out in the middle (more than the usual amount, that is). Regardless, 1800 honor is a huge bonus and I highly recommend everyone who PVPs to take advantage of this before they change it again. If you don't, you will likely fall behind the gear curve relatively quickly.

Been win-trading this between the factions for probably close to a week now. Like clockwork, not missed so far. It's so stupid to come to the 5fps bridge with what feels like half the server standing there. But it works. Since the battle itself is so messed up I can't really blame people for doing it.
Before this point patch factions held it all day long since it's so easy to defend. I guess they are really going to have to redo the entire thing. What the hell where they thinking, cause this couldn't even have looked that good on paper to begin with. Possibly a cool outline idea but horrible at implementation and apparently nobody spotted it and it went live.
