indeed, ever since conflag has been a useful spell to cast (this only happened in wrath and even during early wrath it was a DPS loss to use it) that delay has been in place.
the server needs to see immo on your target before it can send a message to your client to say it can conflag. this is double your latency.
put an instant in there. CoE, BoD, corruption etc.

vanilla? SM/ruin was basically the only vanilla spec worth playing. destro didn't do well.

chaos bolt =/= instant
Besides, chaos bolt benefits from backdraft, which you get AFTER conflag.

I believe you actually can Immolate + instantly Conflagrate if there already is an Immolate from another warlock active on your target, but this is beside the point. Just some trivia. :>

What I used to do back in icc was recast immo right after conflag (only on the opening), so by the time conflag was off cd again immo was already on the target. Then cast immo right after I cast conflag again, so that except for that opening salvo I'm only casting it once and don't have to worry about that delay. And in the opener, when you do have to deal with the delay, that was the gap I would cast CoD in. Simple as really.

Conflag no longer consumes immo (used to require a glyph), so recasting immo after conflag is BAD! You can easily fit 2 conflags into 1 immolate (immo = 15 sec, conflag cd = 10 sec)
