Ahanu sighed again and carefully dressed her up back as she had been. Afterwards, he quickly yet without ruffle or excitement tied Dansha up so that, while the dwarf was rendered unable to move, no blood vessel of hers was harmed in the slightest. Himself now wearing only a pair of training pants and a simple shirt, he took out a flare gun that he carried with him at all times after that ambush that took his eye, locked the door and not without an effort escaped through the window, taking the dwarf with him. Without hesitation, he ran in the direction of the Alliance outpost.
Lisciel walked up to Ashepta, smiling pleasantly.
"Sarge," he winked at her. "Mind if I ask you, where are the others?"

"Miss Terra?" Alexander said, adding insistence in his voice.
Once within the Alliance outpost's sight range, Ahanu carefully put Dansha on the ground and loosened the ropes holding her hands behind her back to an extent where she could free herself, after a considerable amount of time trying to. He aimed the flare gun directly above him and pulled the trigger, after which ran away without ever looking back.
"Tough guy seems to be in a bad mood... Maybe he's just envious of your promotion, eh?" Lisciel said mischievously.
"Anyhow, unless our new beautiful sarge has any tasks for me, I'll head off to the inn as well, the tummy lord demands animal sacrifice," he added.

"Ashorn, my friend!" Lisciel announced, stepping into the inn. "Lunch time for both of us!"
Meanwhile, Ahanu returned the same way he had departed, donned his armor on again and picked up the axe. Exiting the room, he headed straight to the warlord's throne.
"I seek
audience
with warlord Gar'dul, carrying an information of
vital
importance!" he declared, marching inside the chamber.

Alexander sighed.
"Look, I know that the yesterday's events still trouble you. How else can I tell you that nothing's wrong?"
"Wandering through the Hold I have stumbled across a room hosting a window
large
enough and located
low
enough for a spy to get through! This may prove to be a
serious
breach in our defenses and needs to be attended to as soon as
possible
!" the sunwalker barked, then added three seconds later, "Sir."
"Unless Ahanu has tripped over a cobble in the Hold - which is more likely than you think, the masonry appears to be a hackwork - don't see why not. Although something about your voice and your face hints that you have another opinion..." Lisciel said thoughtfully, leaning back in his chair.

"That I will, sir. Just send someone to check my words, for the sake of our brethren in arms, that's all I ask of," Ahanu replied, staring right into the warlord's eyes.
"He used to be a high-ranking soldier, you know. Back when there were no Sunwalkers. I'd like to know more, but guess what? He said that, probably, you have more chances of understanding him than I do."

"And I will be there to stop her."
Alexander made a step forward and carefully took Nova's hand in his.
"I, of all people, know what you feel. I will help you, and do exactly what is needed to be done."
"Sir."
The sunwalker turned around and walked away without another word, let alone salute. He felt worse now, for he couldn't tell whether his actions were motivated by genuine care for the Horde soldiers - or an egoistical wish to keep Dansha away.
"Heh, I'm not offended that easily, when you annoy people as much as I do, you're hard to get annoyed yourself.
Anyhow, I wanted to know your opinion on your sister becoming a sergeant."

Alexander could no longer restrain himself.
"Come here," he said soothingly, embracing Nova and nursing her in his arms.
"You think so? The warlord-" Lisciel cut himself off and mouthed wordlessly an insult, then continued, "-as he is, looks sensible enough to keep her here while her wounds are still healing, and seems to be bent on sending you spar- sorry, Sunwalkers to the infirmary. Or do you think she will disobey a direct order?"
Ahanu stepped into the inn, told a nearest waiter that he would have crocolisk meat and, wondering at the strange look on the waiter's face, came over to the table.
"Hail."

"A
single
letter from our masters will relieve her of her duty, for her Sunwalker's oaths
prevail
," Ahanu said flatly. "The problem is, she certainly won't
ask
for such a favor, and I dare not interfere in the
family
affairs."
"Is that so?" Lisciel asked curiously.
