Druid has priority over here I'm afraid :( But I'll follow him up quickly with my lock, because I want to get into arenas asap! ^_^ and Tol Barad obviously ...
Anyways, I'd enjoy the new zones, but there's a lot of frustration atm due to people standing on big @$$ mounts over quest givers and people tagstealing mobs right in front of your nose :(

how is everyone else finding the levelling process for warlocks?
After the siphon life nerf and the mobs having more HP than your two instants (BoA and Corruption) do dmg, affliction mass killing became slightly more challenging.
However, with UA, Corr, BoA, soul swap and with an occasional drain life or fel flame and CoEx on the mobs you can still handle 4-5 mobs your lvl simultaneously without losing any HP.
I like the new zones a lot.

i had been using the alliance-only stormwind auction house trick (there was a spot you could stand on and interact with both an auctioneer and a mailbox without moving) which required a macro and required you to keybind "interact with target" (its in the default binding menu).
that keybind is really useful for these problems because you can just target any one of the mounted masses and the chances are good that they are targeting the questgiver you need. select their target and use your keybind ^_^

I was disappointed with Affliction leveling. My pet seemed to die every pull since my spec doesn't have fel synergy (I suppose that's more fail on my part and easily remedied), but Demo makes things very simple. Klekfazag can withstand and dish out punishment through almost everything so there's no worries about instant respawns coming back to bite you in the ass.
Haven't tried Destro and probably won't. Demo is satisfying me and I see no reason to change it up.

Funny, pelf recommended the same keybind to me on the druid forums :p
Last night was WAY better though, a LOT less crowded. I'm guessing it's because most people took vacation at work (or don't have school) to get to 85 asap. I however have not done such a thing (december and june are the most busy months of the year ...).
But I'll make the keybind for future reference, thanks ^_^

Grats!
As for the levelling process, im going slow myself, really taking time to breathe and enjoy the awesomeness that actually is blizzard right now. One thing i dont understand is all the talk regarding the toughness of cata mobs et cetera, to me it seems they all hit like sissys, and even when you find yourself stuck in the midst of a respawn feast of continous mobs its usually no prob even as destro.

A little off-topic, but...
Last night I went to my bed thinking about do some solo raids. Well, I had a terrible nightmare. Was about a blue post saying that, due to a great number of warlocks soloing TBC raids, Health Funnel was going to be nerfed hard. It now would heal only 72 HP per second.
When I whoke up, the first thing that I did was check MMO-C for any changes. Gladly it was just a dream. But I need some rest away from WoW...
PS: I'll play on lottery with this 72. No idea why I dreamed about this number, but it may be a signal xD

that's what this whole thread is for!
my lock at 85 in quest greens, a couple of blues and still 3 pieces from 80 has over 100k health and my felguard has 70k. i think soloing level 70 stuff will be pretty simple ^_^

It's not the quest mobs people talk about when they speak of the "tough cata mobs". It's the dungeons. And while the dungeons aren't ultrahard on normal, not all of them are faceroll either (BRC was according to our holy pala).
I did Vortex Pinnacle last night as triple spec resto (druid obviously), and on some pulls the aoe damage was pretty nasty. And at 82 I could already notice the increase in mana cost for spells, meaning I had to drink a few times.
Very fun fights in Vortex Pinnacle btw, both trash and bosses :)

Just something to point out, if you're not 85 yet and you're a clicker, now is the perfect time to throw clicking out the window and key bind all of your spells. You'll get plenty of practice in applicable situations and improve your play.
this is really excellent advice!

Don't worry. You almost have to cc in heroics. A lot of the pulls are doable without, but there's some that are just ridiculous without...
The normal dungeons are all pretty faceroll regardless. There's a few mechanics like the weapon switching boss in Grim Batol that can catch you off guard if you don't know it's coming, but almost all the fights are pretty much:
1. Don't stand in *!@#
2. Pray your healer doesn't go oom
3. DPS for awhile cause bosses have a ton of health
Now heroics on the other hand ^_^

I've found the whole Cata experience to be simply mind-blowing. I find myself grinning from ear to ear at the zones, content and the new gear that seems to splash down from the heavens upon us. It's nice to start fresh and have that amazement factor back in the game.
An earlier post suggested that now is the time to relearn your mechanics (since everything is new) and keybind your spells and get away from clicking. Couldn't agree more. I've always been a keybind guy but now is the time to also play with your spell priorities (see how they play out while questing, grinding, and doing non-heroics).
I've taken the past 1.5 months or so to really clean up the UI: remove superfluous AddOns, adjust my keybinds to most often used spells, rearrange them, etc.
Fel Flame has been....interesting, to say the least. I use it on two occasions, when I move, and when Hand of Gul'dan and Improved Soul Fire are neck and neck with their cooldowns. If HoG and ISF are both ticking down at the same rate, I hit Fel Flame to extend Immolate and then my priority is ISF, then I refresh HoG. Don't get me wrong, I'm not kicking up my heels and applauding the new level 83 spell, after all, it's no Metamorphosis. It's a "nice" little feature though. What do others think?
Dark Intent is kinda cool. I like the additional 3% Haste. Finding the right spec to put it on in 5 mans can be very limiting....
Oh, and the 84k health unbuffed (so far) is really jaw-dropping. :)

The only spec I've seen that can keep it stacked is resto druids. I don't think 100% uptime is possible with current crit levels, but that will just be a waiting game.
Almost all the classes new spells seem pretty disappointing from what I've seen.
