No. You WILL watch Deadpool! DO IT!I guess I'll just hike over to the movie tree, down by the popcorn rocks, and ask the concession
bear
to trade me a ticket for some twigs and snow.
O.O
I'll have you know they don't like to be called that. The polite term is concession ursus*

Back from Deadpool!
Go. Watch. It.You @#$%er. I haven't seen a new movie in ages... :P I think Captain America: The Winter Soldier was the last.
But I'm gonna have to make a special exception for Warcraft...

Tell the movie gnomes I said hi.
Also: you back, man? We reviving genesis?"Back" is a relative term I suppose. Like, I'm back enough to check in now and then and make a post in SC. IDK if that's enough to restart Genesis. IIRC, I was kinda getting left behind already (or at least the whole content of my posts we "And then Mike caught back up with everyone else"), and then the fire hit, which is the reason I ended up just quitting.
If you really wanted to start it back up, I wouldn't mind posting in it, but you have to understand that my posting schedule is going to be erratic and slow, as you can observe from SC.
I'd be all for it, but with you and Neon on sporaddic posts and I'm not quite sure where anyone else stands on it... Which is a shame, I always have and always will like the idea of a progressive Genesis string of RPs, and this was the furtherest we've (more appropriate: YOU guys) ever got.

I'll freely admit that it's my own participation that's the problem, but I can't really help my dog!@#$-tier internet. I'm a grownup now, too, so I've got an associated list of responsibilities and concerns. I still enjoy RPing, but it can't really be the focus of my life anymore, especially when it takes 10 minutes just to load the page. I'm still down to participate so long as you understand that I have to go at a slow pace. When my characters get pulled into plots that have a lot of characters moving at a steady or quick pace, I almost always get left behind, which isn't fun at all. It's not anyone's fault, but that's how it is.

So Deadpool was good.
Nice and enjoyable in its over-the-topness.

Made a considerable edit, light. Felt it was more in character to not try to play that card so soon.

Huh, this whole new chart of the... I guess magics of the Warcraft universe is fascinating, especially from the angle I keep playing. That Shadow and Undeath AREN'T the same in particular.
Obviously Amanda doesn't realize that - might never realize that, given how stubborn of a messiah complex she has - but it will be something interesting to look down on, compare and constrast.

Personally I'll still take it with a grain of sand. They still haven't addressed voodoo. But it's still interesting.
I'm thinking there's a bit of further overlap with certain elements and what's shown here. Like Sunwalker's using the Light, and potentially Night Elf priests as well, just through a different means of connecting to it - largely based on mindset. Voodoo and Loa magics could span a gambit of these areas, from nature, to shadow, to light, to death, since they're pretty much the ONLY massively polytheistic religion in the game.

The awkward bit of it is that it implies the shadow is inherently malicious. It's contradicting with the forsaken shadow and even Anzu, but I'm still applauding Blizzard for putting a bold foot forward and declaring what is and what isn't.
Still. Likely going to fall back on head cannon from now on.
Well, it again may just come down to who uses it - after all the Light is malicious in the hands of the Scarlet Crusade. Anzu found the voices whispering from the shadows to be "dull", so while he was connected to the Old Gods he just didn't have an evil spirit to go with it.
But even before this the Shadow was always presented as something that "suckled slowly on the soul" - that's a bit of a paraphrasing, but it came from an in-game quote, from WoD, I believe.
Will have to wait and see what more we can get. Simply falling back to headcanon on this front - in general, anyway - could be bad for RPing.

Fel is inherently malicious as well too; doesn't stop the Alliance and Horde from employing Warlocks and soon to be Demon Hunters. All depends on how it is used to me; a source of power that tilts towards the evil side of the scale can still do Good depending on the person who is using it.
Though to be fair, the Forsaken Shadow thing came from the RPG books; and we know that unless Blizzard declares it canon, it's not.

They've talked about it a few times in the canon magazines, if I recall.

Well
going off the Cult of Forgotten Shadow page, only the History section is canon, at least based on the references; everything else is from the RPG books.
The religion
page for Shadow, which is all RPG based.
I mean, we know what is canon now, and even the history talks about the darker emotions and aspects in regards to Shadow magic.

I can't remember the last time we seriously cared about canon.
Oh the painful truth.

And, clearly, I do too. Kinda wish I'd had more chances to play Amanda off of Skreel, especially now that I've got a finished idea of where her opinions on the Shadow lie - and Urdish, but sadly Khrayze vanished some time ago. Alas.

Alas.I need to dust him off too. He was a pretty cool character. I really liked exploring how a former Priest of the Light might reconcile himself with both beliefs and express a certain morality through an amoral humanist religion.
