I only own a GC and an SNES. I don't have a tv, unfortunately, and my consoles are 300 clicks away. So I'm unfortunately not starting an all-nighter right away :/

So in the timeline we are all portaled to, does Kalistra not exist? Or does she exist, but she is different?
She exists, but I am fairly certain it is a different version of her who has not yet attained the same power as the one from the Aftermath (Doomed) timeline.
Adams/Skree can correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm beginning to think Hunter may be distantly related to Gunter.

Huh...I stopped playing metroid at zero mission and fusion, never had the gamecube to play the others >.> I feel left out.
Also I think it will be interesting when one of the E'lune priests meets Dawn >.> who is on her way to becoming a shadow whorshiper of some sort.
It'll be interesting to see how her entire story pans out, because Doomed-Morec will be hell-bent on keeping her away from pretty much everyone (people like Russel, Skreel, and Elune priestess above all).

I shall rebut upon the morrow, mark my words.
You are not prepared.Alright, grab something to drink and let's begin.
Metroid Prime was my very first Metroid game, and in fact the reason I bought a Gamecube at all. It's what got me obsessed with Metroid for a long time. I loved reading the Chozo Lore and the Pirate Logs, the way the two radically different tones telling different parts of the same story. I loved piecing together the history of Tallon IV, from the Chozo leaving from Zebes because they were too dependent of technology and had lost their roots, and then the asteroid hitting the planet and poisoning their home and mutating their fauna. Every zone used music, visuals, logs, and enemies to tell a story, whether it be the sad decay of the Chozo Ruins, or the wild jungle of Tallon Overworld. Everything in the story followed the theme of corruption and perverse twisting of nature. In the Chozo Ruins we fought Flaaghra, who was a massive sentient plant twisted by the phazon corruption. Then we moved through the Magmoor Caverns, where the Space Pirates had built their geothermal power plant, and went to the Phendrana Drifts. Phendrana was probably my favorite zone in the game. The first run through, it was very peaceful in comparison to most of the other zones. Soft, slow music evoked thoughts of newfallen snow settling on the ground, and not music was there that would actively attack you (at least until the Sheegoths came around.)
The Pirate Research Station was probably my favorite sequence in the game. Fighting your way through Metroids and Space Pirates to the Thermal Visor, only to realize that turning off the power to get at it would leave you blind was unnerving. Then going back through the dark, barely able to see while Shadow Pirates and Metroids attacked you from all sides... And that music! The Space Pirate theme is forever burned into my brain as a cause for alarm because of that damn sequence. Go through a door and suddenly, the doors lock and you know there are pirates in here somewhere. The logs in here forshadow the Pirates experiments with Phazon, even on themselves.
Further on through the serene memories of the crashed frigate and then to the brutal tension of the Phazon Minds, fighting Elite Pirates and Beam Troopers, we see more of the corruption, glimpses of the crater, finally culminating in the Omega Pirate and the Phazon Suit, which is the most badass suit Samus has ever worn.
Recurring throughout the game was Ridley, who veteran Metroid players knew. We saw him in the beginning, and then he had a flyby in Phendrana, and then finally we got to fight him near the end. It was an amazing fight, and just the right amount of difficult, with fantastic music. And then we finally got to fight Metroid Prime, the titular boss who had been foreshadowed in the logs and who would go on to become Dark Samus.
Metroid Prime was simply amazing, with a perfect score on every aspect. I liked that the Space Pirates were the main antagonists (and their MP1 design is still my favorite). I liked solving the mystery of the Phazon. I liked the Chozo ghosts that came to haunt the Chozo Ruins, making me do my best to avoid traversing the area. Speaking of which, I liked exploring chozo history and culture. I liked that Metroids still featured heavily in a Metroid game. I liked how every beam had a particular strength and weakness, and modified the look of your cannon in a different way.
Metroid Prime 2 was great, and it had a lot of strengths, but there were too many problems for me. I didn't like the Pirate designs (besides the badass commandos), Metroids were added almost as an afterthought, the ammo system sucked, the beams were unoriginal, and it felt that because of the Dark World, I had to do every room twice.

I'm dead too Jebby, that wall of text hurt.
If anything it made me crave my CG even more.
Only disagree with Phen being the best zone. I think Tallon Overworld and Chozo Ruins forever changed my definition of "atmospheric".

trouble making neighbor kid tried stealing out of my truck. Sadly for him, it was right before I got in the shower so I was naked when I chased him down.

I'm sure that would've made for an interesting story had the police shown up :P
