Heh, so Hollywood EMP's eh? =P
It crashed a zeppelin, so...
If it was Gob tech, engine could have exploded and hit the balloon, popping it and causing it to crash.
But meant more the getting the power grid restarted, since EMP's slag the computer components, forcing you to replace them. Would be why any of the new vehicles on the road would just be so much scrap metal if a Pulse ever went off over North America.

Okay, that's really informal and cool. I did not know that.

Sooooo, just in case someone's a little confused about what's going on in Gilneas now, basically there's a complete technological and magical blackout. No communications in or out, no portalling in or out, etc. :P
So all the operations in hospitals, all the cars speeding, everyone with prosthetic augmentations that are necessary for their survival...

Ah, true. Though, the earliest cars would have been fine anyway, such as the ones in this setting, only having basic internal combustion engines and non-electronic parts which affect the brakes and so on. So, yeah, Hollywood EMP.

Aye yup. Should read the book One Second After, one of the most realistic EMP attack results and is considered to be required reading for the big wigs in the States(or so they say, but the foreword of the book is done by a Senator).

Yup.
And we're just having fun here Hyper; since it was augmented by magic, makes sense to cause a lot more damage ^_^.

Hmm, here's a really dumb idea for Industrial:
A villain coming back to the world (out of some deus-ex removal or another) for the first time since the old days of medival Azeroth. Disgusted with the technology and wanting the old world back, he/she - a powerful magician in their own right - declares war on the entire world, using old magic forgotten by even the greatest minds of the world and, as such, uncounterable by any modern means.

I'm reminded of the Buffy episode where they shot it with a rocket launcher to win.
And you realize it's only been 20 years, right? A lot of people from the 'old world' are probably still alive.
As for the Hollywood EMP bit; it's up to Hyper how to take it. Alana isn't exactly a master egineer, remember.

Well, aside from the super magic part, not really.
We already have Anarchists who hate the technology and government running around, after all.

It's hilarious you say this because I was, literally, watching the first
Swat Kats
episode as you put it in, which has an ancient wizard trying to turn the world back to the dark ages.

As for Morec's idea...well, just wait and see =P.

I distantly remember it, mainly the mechanicats though. Hence the trundling through the archives of youth and youtube.

Heh, I just recently downloaded and burned SWAT Kats for my private collection.

As far as I remember, I never really got into Swat Kats.
Was never big on the anthromorphic animal shows when i was younger. TMNT and such never really caught me.

Truth be told I don't remember many cartoons from my youth. Save
Dragonball Z
and
Animaniacs
(and its spinoffs). Then again, it's hard to forget those two for very different reasons.

Well, that is certainly comprehensive. I remember watching maybe three quarters of them frequently now that you reminded me.
Never really got into Skyland though, came out near the transitory stage in my viewing habits and I didn't much care for the animation. The graphics seemed very stiff.

Welp, as someone who has almost drowned himself several times in Pandaria now, I have my single biggest complaint about MoP.
The removal of the undead Underwater Breathing racial. (It doesn't help that I'm not really a fan of such passive self-heals.)
