What the hell man. I thought you were just going to screw with Illia's head. it's the whole reason I went with this.
NOT WHAT THE HELL I JUST SAW!
He's just threatening her. He hasn't even made physical contact.
Logan is about to.
Very painful physical contact.
With Joxans' face...
Does this mean we can update the L&RP Favourite Villain thread to give Joxans his own bar?
EDIT: Well, I look at it, and I realized that Joxans would have to do something to avoid directly fighting the Redux heroes, since they would trounce him. He couldn't kidnap someone permanently, as he has no base to hold them, he can't manipulate time to Deus Ex it out again, I'm trying to avoid that. So, I did this. He hasn't hurt anyone physically, just threatened them as effectively as he could to reach the maximum effect. It's all quite logical and it is over now.

You know, if the line in question is about children and the like...Kali skipped across that in A20L when she took Yo'kuno and forcibly aged him with that good ole knee slapper of a spell the Orcs used during the days of the Dark Horde, turning him against his mother and aunt =P.

It;s speciffically about Pregnant women.
I absolutely can not stand people messing with pregnant women.
Ever.

This board has lines that can be crossed? I find that hard to believe...

That's what I thought. Then this happened, so I apparently have to apologize and console people.

Well she was going to do nasty things to Praey who was pregnant at the time...but the heroes arrived, so had to go with plan B, which was the kidnapping of Kuno.
Edit: In other words, I'm with Money here; it is a 'great' villain move, and while it's reprehensible, as this is an RP, it shouldn't be causing this much clamour.

The thing was, I was already meta-gaming by NOT having Logan go see what Illia went to look at.
I meta-gamed and let Money continue because I was expecting Joxans to do something to Illia's mind, or heartless-ify the twins, or something plot-worthy that, while not sitting right with me, would have lead to interesting story points.
This did none of that and was simply disgusting and enraging for me to read.

Which if anything, shows Money did his job right.

You guys are really taking this far too seriously. I'm honestly surprised you didn't think something like this might happen. He played on peoples weaknesses, people do that. I think villainous acts have just become too bland here. Sure this RP has had its share of death. But we seem to be playing by the million is a statistic rule, where villages can be blown up, but when someone is threatened by a syringe? That's when people freak out. I admit, I understand the reaction, but if the opportunity is available Joxans will take advantage of it. He mentioned an intent way back when he was hiding in Elwynn even, it was vague but there.
What I'm saying is, if you all freak out against this, then I don't suggest looking for what Joxans left lurking beneath the Tanaris sand.

Except not.
A villain is supposed to be the character you "love to hate." They are supposed to do evil, dispicable acts in a way that makes them interesting and likable characters.
A villain who you just hate for their actions, whether its from them being done in a tactless and tasteless way, or some other reason, isn't really a good villain at all. It's just a character you don't like.
(And if Joxans was hoping to keep the Redux crew off him, he totally *!@#ed up...)

I know quite a few villains I just plain hate; doesn't mean that lowers their 'villainous' cred to me. Honestly, there does need to be a slight degree of separation here; after all the mustache twirling villains get old really fast, no matter how likable they are.

It very much so does to me.
There are very, very few lines that I will not cross. I am a person of very little morals, and what few I have? My characters, villain or hero, usually share.
I'm willing to forgoe those lines for the sake of story and plot and interesting drama or whatever. But when none of those come as a result?
Yeah, that's when I'm not cool with it.
Honestly, there does need to be a slight degree of separation here; after all the mustache twirling villains get old really fast, no matter how likable they are.
And we really do have a nice degree of speration in terms of our villains and such.
Dag'Rema, for example, is nearly uncomparable to, say, Khaz. Yet they are both enjoyable villains in their own ways. Both of them do their villainous acts in interesting and likable ways, and manage to remain intriguing characters that I, as an RPer, find myself drawn to interact with and read.

I assume, then, that by your admission you don't want to try and kill Joxans?
I really don't understand why people find this difficult.
He has no emotions.
He is a literal, physical manifestation of the sociopath and is incapable of caring about anyone or anything. Of course he'll sink to such levels. He knows the line is there. He just can't see it. And even if he could, he wouldn't care. He will do anything to achieve his goals, because he can't care about who he hurts. He killed Tetra, the closest thing he has to a daughter, without even blinking!
He's intelligent, he's ruthless, he'll do literally anything to anyone if he thinks it will help him! That's all there is.

That was poor wording on my part, I apologize.
Put another way: I personally dislike the Makkorr Hollows, but I can admit they are effective villains.
But don't forget there are villains who's whole stick is mindless death, destruction, and torture; I can interact with those ones just as much as the cold thought out planners.
I still think people may be over reacting a bit much this time around though.

Mainly because those types are 'easier' to RP as heh....then again, I've had multiple villains swing between those lol, so that probably some bias coming through.

Also, fair warning: I'm still debating internally on Redux!Logan's 'draconic name change', so it may be subject to edits without warning....
*wishes I could find a good way to work -gos onto my name...*
