What is there left after this expansion?

Ok this is more a general thought regarding beyond cataclysm, but since that fact it would come after I figured I'd put this here.
So, the Cataclysm is set to reshape all of azeroth. So far, we've had two expansions, first on the collapsed world of draenor, with whatever was left of it there. And then the northern continent of Northrend. And now, All of azeroth and the unexplored areas of the world open for us to explore and delve into.
I considered some possibilities of what would come next in warcrafts story. Some people thought this would be the last chapter in the game. This obviously wouldn't be something viable, since cataclysm has been discribed as the 'next chapter'.
So anyway, some thoughts of where the story could go next.
1: The great sea.
I'm not sure how this would come into it. Already, we've been given an undersea area, and allowing us to dive into the maelstrom itself. In truth, an entire expansion spent under water wouldn't have the same impact as just one zone.
Perhaps Azeroth has something on the other side of the world we haven't seen yet, kind of like the orcs in space movie oxhorn did.
2: The emerald dream.
One possibility. This would open up what azeroth would look like from the dreams pov, as its been said the dream shows the world in an uncorrupted state. However, I think enough info came into it from the stormrage novel to almost rule this out as an possible expansion
3: Return to Draenor.
What if Draenor was somehow restored, so an even greater evil came to it, and what was left of draeneo gets shaken by it. In truth, this would mess up the leveling system of the game as it is now, since draenor is 60-70, so little chance.
4: The legions home world.
This is a distint possibility, however, if such an expansion did happen, I can see it as being the last, this whole thing to do with Velen discribing the army of light against darkness. So maybe, but not till much later.
and 5: Azeorth, the aftermath of war. People argue that rephasing azeroth after its been phased by cataclysm wouldn't be viable, but tbh, this war thats going on in cata isn't viable as a permanent thing anyway, so theres a chance the world could change again.
The one problem is, we're still need zones to level up to the next max level, so unless theres a whole new set of zones, its tricky to think where else in azeorth they could be.
Anyway, running out of ideas. Any others?

Pandaria, tens of thousands of worlds out there in the Deep Dark, more islands across Azeroth....and whatever else Blizzard creates. Also; really doubting a full Dream expansion since all the Nightmare problems, except that one tiny dark area have been dealt with, and we'll probably end up taking down the Old God of Northern Kalimdor in Cata.

Each expansion is headed by a major villian, the burning legion, the lich king, deathwing. Thats just how it goes. To invent a whole new world in the great dark beyond and make it viable would be stepping into the whole 'far out there' theme, and this isn't starcraft.
Still, there is the Pantheon I guess, the most powerful beings in the warcraft universe. Although we don't even have the smallest hint of where ever they come from.
Lets think of how this army of light and darkness would fit into whatevers to come. Something I'll say about Velen, it certain gave a door there.

To invent a whole new world in the great dark beyond and make it viable would be stepping into the whole 'far out there' theme, and this isn't starcraft. You leave Azeroth to travel to another World: The Naaru, communicating with their brethren in Outland, have found Alleria Winderunner and Turaylon.....and a world under assault by the Burning Legion. Forward adventures of Azeroth, it's time to face the threat of Darkness again.
Yup, nothing at all to be done with the Great Dark.....

Well I do appreciate the contributed idea

Why do you HAVE to have a big bad guy. Vanilla didn't.
What's wrong with lots of threats from different factions that if you don't quell will eventually overwhelm the Horde/Alliance.

Heh, just saying; wouldn't even have to 'make up' stuff, just alter things to fit the Army of Light, the Legion's standard game plan and the rest. And even at 'home' Azeroth is growing 'bigger' each expansion: Northrend for Wrath is bigger then what was implied in Warcraft 3 after all, if Naj'zatar rises, you'll have a new sub continent where the Maelstrom used to be, and there's still all that space on the far side of Azeroth possibly.

there's nothing wrong with having a completely new enemy that shows up out of nowhere.
just look at one idea that a friend of mine had back before.
we invade the homeworld of the burning legion, due to some flashy "deus ex machina" we manage to kill sargeras, and suddenly to our horror, we find out that he wasn't really "Da man" of the legion, he was a pawn of forces unseen, forces so terrible and powerfull from the deepest darkness of the universe that not even the pantheon dared to face them.
now these dark masters (to whom he named The Wuxi Dinasty) angered at their main pawn's demise have decided to take matters into their own hands, and thus we now must invade their homeworld.
as you can see, as far as new frontiers go, the limit goes only to our imagination.
Here are some viable ideas:
Naz'jatar: this isn't some small city, we're talking about a MASSIVE continent on par with northrend on it's size, it sank when the well of eternity exploded, but when azshara makes her bid to the surface she CAN lift the continent to the surface once more (while having some parts of it in the deep, so we have another underwater zone, but not a full underwater continent)
Argus: we help the naaru kick the ass of the legion in the homeworld of the eredar.
Xoroth, homeworld of the dreadlords and other demons like the succubi.
Burning Bastion of the Legion.
and on Azeroth itself, there's still tons of uncharted lands, places we don't have in our maps, like pandaria, and maybe even larger continents still unexplored, there's Kul'tiras, ect ect.
I for one would love an asian-themed enemy a mix of mongolian+chineese into it, so far we've had a great deal of norse-based enemies in WOTLK, and cata is offering us egiptian themed ones, I hope we get some asian ones soon.

In the end, I just really hope we get to fight the big boy, Sargeras.

Either way, Blizzard could just keep adding new lore so it's not possible for them to "run out".

Blizzard said that they wanted to re-make both Outland and Northrend in the future. We already have the excuse of the new Lich King, so I wouldn't rule out a return to Outland in the future. I could see it as a reversed-cataclysm, someone finds a way to re-unite the main portion of Draenor that became Outland with other parts that got lost in the Twisting Nether after the Ner'zul's portals ripped Draenor apart. In the time between the destruction of Draenor and this "reversed-cataclysm", the parts of the world that were in the Twisting Nether became the place the home of new evils. When the fragments re-unite with Outland, they will bring it new inhabitants with them. Re-made 60-70 leveling experience and new high-level zones.

1: The great sea.

Perhaps Azeroth has something on the other side of the world we haven't seen yet, kind of like the orcs in space movie oxhorn did.
We've been given a very small part of the Great Sea (Vashj'r). In addition, while we dove into the Maelstrom, we went to the center in order to get to Deepholm. There's a lot of other stuff next to the Maelstrom that's underwater. Also, I believe that this zone is a test by Blizzard to see how staying underwater for longer amounts of time will work, so that they can make an expansion almost completely underwater in the future.
I think that this is the most likely scenario for the next expansion, with Queen Azshara being the big boss of the expac. Possibly include Kul Tiras and Zandalar, but maybe not.
2: The emerald dream.
One possibility. This would open up what azeroth would look like from the dreams pov, as its been said the dream shows the world in an uncorrupted state. However, I think enough info came into it from the stormrage novel to almost rule this out as an possible expansion
I don't see this happening. Like you said, it was pretty well handled in Stormrage. I could see part of the Emerald Dream as a zone in another expac though.
3: Return to Draenor.
What if Draenor was somehow restored, so an even greater evil came to it, and what was left of draeneo gets shaken by it. In truth, this would mess up the leveling system of the game as it is now, since draenor is 60-70, so little chance.
I don't think Outland CAN be restored, IIRC there were a few quests that stated that Outland is slowly breaking apart. But yeah, would mess up the leveling system unless they did it cataclysm style and had the various portals across outland open up to different worlds across the Nether/Great Dark, and have those be various zones for leveling.
4: The legions home world.
This is a distint possibility, however, if such an expansion did happen, I can see it as being the last, this whole thing to do with Velen discribing the army of light against darkness. So maybe, but not till much later.
There's two possibilities for this. Either the world that the Nathrezim are from, or Argus, where the draenei are from. I think Argus is the most likely of the two considering a lot of players (including me) want to go there, and it will give enough draenei lore to last a LOONG time. And a part of me is hoping that the reason why they're so skimpy on draenei lore now is they're saving it for an Argus expansion.
and 5: Azeorth, the aftermath of war.
Meh, I don't think so. I think Azeroth post-Cataclysm will be good enough to last until the eventual end of WoW. And there are other zones they could do... There's countless islands as well as the possibility of going into the Dream as well as more underwater zones.
Basically, the two biggest contenders IMO for the next couple of expansions are a Maelstrom/Great Sea expac, and an Argus expac.

Though, as a fantasy gaming company, that's kind of Blizzard's M.O. I really don't understand the fuss when blizzard makes something up... Who cares? They added something in to give you content...
Shame on them!
As long as there is someone with an imagination, and people don't whine for no reason(i.e. New lore). There will be more for WoW.
