Colonel Velhawk
Deadmines
Velhawk nodded, "very well then, what I said about the sabre was true, it was given to me by the king himself for my services in the Stormwind military... the gem itself was handed to me by Amora she had said that she needed it to be kept safe from someone, the cultists I believe, though bad luck began to befall my men and I knew that I had to get rid of it, I tried to contact her, but either she did not reply or the messages were intercepted," Velhawk said, he left out a few vital facts in his explanation, but other than that it was the truth, he did not trust the man he saw before him at all.
Unfortunately, the man whose image he saw was no doubt miles away to say the least, otherwise he could easily arrest him and put a bullet through his head, for he knew know why Nicholas had wanted the gem. "But before I continue, tell me sir, if you are so interested in the gem, at least that is how it seems, why did you not come and get it yourself, instead of sending Nicholas to get it for you?" Velhawk asked Vaentine.
Lektri
Gnomeregan
Lektri remained silent, he was burning to know what it was that they wanted off Barell, but he knew it was not the place nor time to ask. Yondra giggled, "don't worry, torture is not the only thing my guests are treated to, but that won't happen until tomorrow, tonight you will dine, and tomorrow you will probably die, unless you give us what we want by then," she said, winking. Lektri by now already knew what kind of demon she was and this simply made it all the more daunting a prospect of being a prisoner.
The carriage stopped at a large mansion type building in Gnomeregan, high walls surrounded it, hiding it from the sight of the rest of the city. It was labelled as a warehouse, but the gnomes in the carriage knew otherwise. The gates swung open then shut as they went in. "Well, let's continue our pleasant little chat inside," Yondra said, smirking a little before opening the door for them to get out. "And don't even think about escaping, you'll just die quicker that way, or be in a lot of pain, and we wouldn't want that now would we" she added, finding it somehow amusing.
Avemthar
Stormwind
Avemthar grinned, "careful John, I think your brother may be starting to like you," he said cheekily, just loud enough for Alex to hear.

"Because his ship was close enough - I did not want to lose time." - replied the Hydromancer - "And may I ask you yet another question - after you aquired the gem, did anyone except of you touch the sabre before today?"
Nicholas sighed - he did what he could do, and now it was up to Valentine. He took out the pistol and the boarding sabre, put them on a table standing in the room and came up to a wooden cabinet. Several seconds later he was absent-mindedly sitting in a chair, drinking scotch.

"No, no one else that I am aware of did," Velhawk replied, "then again even I have to sleep so it is possible that someone has tampered with it or something like that."

"I have a theory that may explain everything. Remember what happened to Charles Donnagon? If he was the first to touch the sabre after you, then this is what was Amora planning - the gem could only be activated by someone else, that meant either you, colonel, killing the one trying to take your sabre, or him turning into a monster - it is called a Defiled One - so that anyone trying to get the weapon would be doomed - thus getting rid of a person that knew what she was possessing. What Amora didn't predict, however, is that the sabre would really be taken to the jeweller... She used you, colonel. And, if I am not mistaken, the gem is now a worthless piece of glass, stripped from its powers. There's a way to test it - dripping blood of somebody else over gem would do the trick - if it doesn't turn greenish, then it's now just an ordinary gem."

"Why go to all that bother when she could just hold on to the gem itself?" Velhawk asked, not trusting the man's words. "Besides, how do I know your not just another one of
them
?"
Avemthar
Stormwind
Avemthar just chuckled at Alex's reaction, "yeah we could head to the Old Town, although it is really nice here," he said. "Hmm, might be an idea to take a tram part of the way, maybe just to see Ironforge at least, unless your in a hurry to get to Silvermoon... or we could even spend a day or two extra here in Stormwind," he said to Silencia, following closely behind John and Alex.

Lektri
Gnomeregan
Yondra smiled as they entered a room with a medium sized table in it. Food was spread out across the table and although Lektri did not feel like eating, he knew he would have to eat a little for energy, he had not eaten any food in many hours and it was starting to take its toll. Lektri sat down, with Yondra across from him.
There was a seat next to him for Barell, across from Barell there was a seat for another one two gnomes next to Yondra and finally there was a fancy gold-encrusted chair at the head of the table for the leader of the two gnomes and Yondra.
Lektri watched the female carefully, he was already pretty sure what type of demon she was, but he wanted to make sure beforehand so at least he knew what he was dealing with. He waited for the others to get seated so that he could start eating, he was feeling more hungry by the minute at the sight of the food laid out in front of him and although he knew it was possibly drugged there was little choice in the matter.

"Well, maybe the fact that you're still alive, or the fact that I am willing to support your cause with finances should give you a hint. Otherwise, you have to believe me. Now, if you let Nicky put a single blood drip on the gem and it does not turn green, you'll go away from here with a hefty sum for your troubles."

Gnomeregan
- "How is he doctor?", asked the same sergeant, who had brought the man to the infarmy in the gnome capital.
- "Physically he is just exhausted, but it's the mental side I'm more worried.", answered the rather young female doctor. "So far he has not shown any signs on knowing who or where he is. That, to be honest, isn't normal - even in cases like this."
After a moment of silence the doctor continued.
- "There is also one other odd thing in this man. Those gauntlets in his hands, they are burned into his flesh. There is no way we can remove them without harming him too much. Most likely the burning has been done with a spell of some sort, it's too precise. Also the runes carved to the gauntlets trouble me. When I asked a mage friend of mine to take a look at them, he said that judging from the placing of the runes, it's most likely a seal of somesort. But the gauntlets have also given him a nickname: Ironfist."
- "So is it safe to release him?", asked the sergeant.
- "I would say so, but he might need somebody to keep an eye on him. Just in case."
- "I'll see if I can hire somebody.", said the soldier turning around and walking away.

"I think we should stay here for awhile. It's kind of nice, in that human sort of way." She said following alongside Avemthar.
Illiana
Silvermoon
The little girl began to toss and turn on the bed as she tossed and turned, dreaming of chasing after a woman who she couldn't see, but somehow knew. She continued to chase after the woman constantly running but she was never fast enough and always seemed to get left behind. She muttered "Wait for me." In her sleep as she continued to toss and turn.

Colonel Velhawk
Westfall
Velhawk frowned, not sure what to do. He could not really say no, though if he said yes then he would truly know whether it was the gem or not. Besides, now that he had seen Valentine he could easily have a warrant for the man's arrest created, he could even send men after him if it turned out his allegiance was to that of the cultist or another evil faction. The only problem was the fact the man had a scarf covering much of his features, but even so Amora at least would be able to find him, if she could still be trusted, and even found for that matter.
Nevertheless he would have to ask Amora about some things next he saw her, first of all why exactly she had tricked him, if she indeed had, for he knew that she would have done it with good intentions. At least he hoped so, for he was sure that Amora was a good person deep down.
"Very well then," Velhawk said, placing his sabre on a nearby table. It seemed to him that Nicholas was merely a puppet, whether willing or unwilling, a puppet for the man whose image he could still see out of the corner of his eye. Perhaps even that man, whose name he had still not been told, was just another puppet as well, for an even more sinister master.
Avemthar
Stormwind
"It sure is," Avemthar commented. "That must be the tram over there," he said, gesturing in the direction of a large metal tunnel in which the sounds of a tram arriving could be heard. "Even in Darnassus we've heard that it is massive now, spanning across the whole of the Eastern Kingdoms more or less, and with many different tram lines going to various places," he said, clearly impressed without actually having seen it before. "Maybe we should check it out sometime, like after we have seen the rest of this part of town," he said, clearly wanting to see the tram with his own eyes.

"That might me good, though we gotta find out where the closest stop is first, and we would even get a glimpse of the other cities on the way, besides if we wanted to we could always get off at any point during the way and walk around those cities..." Avemthar said, trailing off, "though it might be best if we visit those places another time, we don't want your family and friends to worry."

((XD, Valentine haven't introduced himself, and Nicholas called him gramps. And old man's face is covered by a scarf))
Nicholas
Deadmines
Nick sighed, took an ordinary silver knife and cut his finger, then carefully dripped blood on Velhawk's sabre, directly at the gem. Several drops fell, the first one immediately turned from crimson to sick greenish-red, the second transformed slower, the third stopped half-way and the fourth, the last one, remained intact.
"Good. The gem is now safe, unless someone re-charges it. That pretty much proves everything I was talking about. Colonel, will you find Amora yourself or let me do it?" - asked Valentine, causing Nick to frown. Before Velhawk could answer, he added - "Look, I know how it looks like, but please, trust me, we're not cultists. Heh, if you come outside you will see the traces of kraken's attack - I didn't say a word of lie to you."

((Ah yes I remember now. But even so, Velhawk would be able to recognize the clothes etc so if he did encounter him again he would have to be wearing completely different stuff. And I know that they haven't actually named Valentine yet, I mentioned it even in my post))
Colonel Velhawk
Westfall
"Hah, you think some kraken attack will convince me of that you are not cultists, for all I know you will slit my throat having decided you have learnt all that you wanted to from me," Velhawk said, still not mentioning in any way what information he had left out.
He understood know, albeit too late, why Amora had sent them in his direction, she had been suspicious. What part she would play now he knew not, but he would have to hope he got off the ship alive, he had already trust Nicholas to a greater extent than he should have.

Deadmines
Nick's face paled, then reddened, then paled again. Slowly, he came to his chest, took out two leather bags each holding a tag '1k'. The buccaneer spun around, shoved the bags into Velhawk's hands and said quietly - "Get lost."
Valentine's image shrugged and said - "Oh well, this is the day you will always remember as the day that you almost made friends with Captain Nicholas Randall." - before vanishing. The door to the cabin opened, revealing the
Executioner
's deck where pirates were either working or idling. No one even looked at Velhawk, as if he wasn't there. Almost shaking, Nick snapped his fingers and his second-in-command came up.
"Is everyone present?"
"Sir, yes sir!'
"Good. We're leaving in fifteen minutes."
Nick pushed the colonel out of his chambers and slammed the door closed.
Valentine
Dalaran
"You know what you have to do."
Seven cloaked men were kneeling in front of the Hydromancer.
"Do not, I repeat, do not harm the boy, he has nothing to do with it. Bring me that b*tch - alive."
"
Thy will be done, Lord Mehl'Vateck.
"
Several minutes later, seven men went out of a service tunnel not far from Dalaran and headed south.

It was nigh impossible to catch any of the words exchanged between the elf and the shadowy human, although he had heard something about a safe house.
"I don't like this character, what are his motives with the elf?"
Thurdan pondered.

The dark apothecary left his carriage and ettin in a secluded part of the forest while he swiftly made his way towards the lake. He took out a vial of concentrated poison and emptied the contents into the nearby towns water supply. "
