It was a duel to death for leadership of the Horde, only one was going to walk out of that arena alive.
And it was the wrong one.

Oh you think your clever Adams aye? Hows about this.
In a recent review of the shattering,
we know that in an act of honor, Cairne fights Garrosh for control of the horde,
disgusted by Garrosh's actions, and it was believed Cairne died due to the poison out of combat.
But what actully happened, was in that fight, Garrosh does slice the gorehowl into cairne chest. Even if the poison did or didn't kill him at that moment, Garrosh delivered the blow.
See, you ignore things in your own twisted view, thank you so much for making my point for me. They were fighting a duel....with edged weapons....what the hell did you think was going to happen? They were going to have a pillow fight? Jesu Christo Tauren.

It was Cairne idea to make a duel to death, Garrosh didn't want to kill the old bull but what could he had done? leaving him alive would have been an insult towards Cairne as a honorful warrior.

I just soak up your reasoning, or anyones for that matter, when before it was claimed Cairne died purely to Magatha's influence. Turns out, it was Garrosh who killed him in the end. Point proven otherwise, they were wrong.

So its ok to dismiss it because it could only have ended one way whoever died?
This actully gives me some satisfaction, in knowing it was Garrosh that killed Cairne with the gorehowl, now theres no question, even if magatha did poison cairne. As such, there will never be any reason for me to believe any good will come out of him, and maybe even like his father, the only attonement will be seeing Garrosh die in some self sacrifice.

Point proven otherwise, they were wrong. And if Cairne wasn't already dying of the poison, more then likely a simple blow to the chest wouldn't have been fatal; both things killed him....but again, what the hell am I doing? I'm trying to argue against a delusional person.
Alright; least I should have my own copy of the Shattering by the weekend, and only have to work on Saturday. Enjoy continuing to read out of context spoilers Tauren, I'll wait for the full info....you should also check out
Skree's
thread.

I love how someone with a one sided point of view paints me as delusional. Hows that count coming adams, posted enough threads today?

Killing your opponent in a duel to death is wrong now? What else do you want Garrosh to do in a situation like that?

He wants Garrosh to lay down and die duh, and let Thrall come back, and then the Horde can be all happy and hippy, and full of flowers and rainbows and unicorns....then die horribly as Deathwing, laughing his giant sized ass off, blows up the entire faction.

You know, one of my guild mates is probably one of the biggest cairne fans I can think of. He actully logged off wow when people were making a joke about cairne dying, it upset him so much.
Advise him to see a psychiatrist. He needs one badly.

"Oh look, I'm Adams, I use under par references to completely misinterpret what someone is saying to casually insult them"
Get over yourself. The hordes going to @#$% in cataclysm. You, and alliance fanboy, doesn't have to see his favourite faction get destroyed and made into something else, because you still have your favourite faction leaders in place, (minus one stone bronzebeard).
The horde I loved was better then what it's turning into in cataclysm, so if I make blunt statements at people seeing some good in it as complete rubbish, then I'll say it. The hordes lost one of his wisest rulers, and the orc what made the horde a better faction to play as just walked out the door and left some badly rendered tool of a character behind to lead it. That reason enough for someone who loved the horde for what Thrall made it into to feel let down by the writers.

As I've said to other users here on the forums(and hell, it can be aimed at me all you want): Your Opinions do not equal facts. You also enjoy insulting people, calling them 'fanboys' and 'only idiots think Garrosh could ever be a good leader'; we get it Tauren, every single thing in Cataclysm has pissed you off. And Tauren, get over yourself first.

or what, your call me an r-tard again?
I'm glad Worglord said what he did. It took me a while to figure out a way to discribe the problem here in cataclysm with garrosh's horde. but he made it clear. Those who think Garrosh greater then Thrall and his actions of 'kill first without mercy' instead of 'fight or die for honors sake' is the greatest underlining threat here. And the funny thing is, unless Garrosh has a personaility transplant, or dies, or has his mantle taken from him, the orcs will keep going down the kind of path they did when doomhammer lead them, one of self destruction.
Yes, I do want to see Garrosh die, or his rank removed from him as leader, with a hope in the next expansion, the horde will become like the one I know.

I don't really care Adams. Christ sake..
I've played warcraft for years now, and I'm as deeply into the lore, its characters and story as I was with the x-men. You already know, when they changed the face of the x-men so dramaticly, I lost any hope of it being like the story or characters I use to love. I even saw how the story was eroding away, and it just took one big push to have me leave it altogether.
My concern now, it seeing the same thing happen to the horde, my favourite faction, and as a result the warcraft story. Yes, change happens, I've always had to accept that. But like I told someone I once knew, I can only take so much crap about I can't take anymore.
At the moment I don't see any good on the horizon. Hell, even Skree is convinced Thrall won't return to the horde, and he is a horde fan. Its like, how are you expected to follow a story when the characters you know arn't associated with it like they were. All I'm seeing now, are garrosh fanboys raving at how awesome the horde is with a thug of a ruler now and glad to see Thrall gone. I'm seeing my guild mate and friend debating leaving in cataclysm since his favourite character is dead then.
It is a story, yes. And when the story goes bad and you have to sit through seeing it happen, you tend to ask, what the hell is the point?
On a similar subject, which I asked you over a year before. If Velen was to die in warcraft, your fav faction leader, can you honestly say you would enjoy the story the same way as before? Thinking of my guild mate, thats how much the story can mean to someone.
and on another note, I would love to have an open conversation with you over a chat channel, so you can understand it better why I protest when the #$%^ hits the fan.

Thinking of my guild mate, thats how much the story can mean to someone.Yes I would; it was the same thing when Aerith died in FF7, when the heroes I loved in the Marvel Universe and the Ultimate universe went down, when most of the DC universe got obliterated, I didn't go "OMFG, this is such #$%^" and threw the books away in disgust. If you want something to evolve, you have to accept changes; would I miss Velen? Yes. Would I create a thousand and one threads, flame the #$%^ out of anyone who disagrees with me, and generally act like a royal d-bag just because one thing changed...No. Seriously, it's a video game and a story, not the real world.
and on another note, I would love to have an open conversation with you over a chat channel, so you can understand it better why I protest when the #$%^ hits the fan.$%^& hits the fan to make the story continue on. And no thanks, don't need someone screaming in my ear about stuff he's being screaming about for the last year.

I don't scream. I'm actully very cival despite these threads bringing the worst out of me. So be it though.

Look I will say this; for me, Blizzard already hit the low point: The ridiculous Lich King retcon. As Wrath is over, I am looking forward to Cata to see things go up after that sad ending of an expansion.

Well I don't consider it an up point seeing the faction I've admired all these years go to &*!@ like they are in cata, so well most will think its great seeing it get dragged though the mud, I'll be thinking otherwise.

Never said what was happening to the Horde was an Up point; saying, after the complete disinterest I felt at the end of Wrath, proves that to me, Cata is going to be the expansion to shake up the entire Warcraft franchise, and get it out of the rut Wrath created.
