On a more related note - it's perfectly fine to discuss the new talents. They
will
change between now and release (they already changed today), so discussing them is fine - and it's good to have a thread about that. You do, however, not need to take ownership. You got the idea for a thread - and that's about it. It doesn't make you more right than others, or give your opinion more value.
Specs are, regrettably, a bit pointless to speculate too much, as there will be changes. Still, they serve as a good base for when a new build comes, to made modifications to, and see how the talents have evolved. There's tons of discussion-material - and everyone is one equal footing in that regard.

Hmm. The difference between Beta -> Live is marginal.
I saw no reason for him to come in here and complain about how this thread is pointless, nor was I attempting to take ownership. Sorry that I used the term, "my" instead of "the" when referring to the thread.
And what does this have to do with opinions? Him coming in here to say that this thread is pointless? Since when has this been encouraged - as that's what it appears you are saying. I thought pointless posts about things like this were frowned upon.

Assuming 8k AP, which is something we could see as a norm, the way stats are looking
8000*.02+242*15 sec/3 = about 1210 damage per tick.
1210*5=6210 damage
.3*6210 = 1863 damage per application using rank 12 Serpent Sting.
Unless I did my math wrong (might have :P) that's a pretty decent amount of damage.
So you're right, it might be worth using in a PvP setting.

change. I'm glad someone sensible (Gnub) agrees with me on that point.
Also my attitude is not just spawned from this thread. I've read countless QQ posts about the unfinished trees.

just to update since the builds changed again today...
Yep. So all in all, I think we're only wasting about 3 points now, rather than the around 7 from the first build.
I'm glad the reimplemented Piercing Shots. That one change helped things nicely.
But, the Focus cost is steeper than I anticipated - Kill Command is cheaper (and that's w/out Imp. Kill Command). The worth of this talent depends on what CDs Blizzard assigns, which Wowhead does not know.
Ah, that's a shame then. Kill Command seems pretty powerful - especially as a BM hunter. I definitely see that as a key ability for them.

i play the beta and i just want to comment on you saying MM is a waste and is dead, its really not your saying wasting points to get to the bottom i noticed u didnt put all 3 points into piercing shots which is were i see you saying wasting points in resistance is futile. but the spec im using right now im bet is this

thats a good spec because some are forgetting about aimed shot and how powerful it really is now.
Yes. If you look at the post right above you, you would see I commented on that.
Regarding your spec - no Posthaste, 1 point in Bombardment? Why? Improved SerpS is useless, the 8 points in BM would be better off in Survival, and with the likely crit levels in Cata, 3 points into Careful Aim is a bit much. I could see 1, with the others in Resistance is Futile as more beneficial.
The extra points in Careful Aim are useless - at least the points in Resistance is Futile is a small/potential dps gain.
Your spec is rather... bad, tbh.

weaknesses
of everything, especially the PvP weaknesses.

from what i saw i just tested it, its not fully functional/bugged. i doesnt rarely procs and i was throwing like 3-7 SS into some targets. it did however proc for me and i gave me a 15% increases damage thats all i know so far
If 15% extra damage is just one of the procs and all the procs are amazing like that, then I easily see Survival becoming the go to spec for raiding - at least for the first patch or so.
