Just hit level 80... endgame has never felt cheaper.

But i gotta agree with the poster, epics are not epics anymore. If you did not play vanilla content you do not have a clue about the feeling to get your first epics or better epics for that matter, it was a great feeling. Now epics are like greens.
.
I beg to disagree. When I got my very first epic (started halfway through BC, then missed out on being able to play Wrath for 3 months because my computer sucked and couldn't run it), I was THRILLED. I was babbling in guild chat and felt so awesome!
Now, I'm raiding ICC25, and every time we do Lootship, I sit on the edge of my seat and pray for the Abacus, or Trauma when we do Rotface.
Hell, when I won Bulwark of Smouldering Steel my first time in 25, I actually teared up a little. I'd gotten my first true ENDGAME epic. Just because epics don't feel all new and shiny to you, doesn't mean that they mean less to me.

Algalon has been feeding on tears since 3.1. Now, I can't speak for overgeared groups, but I've heard he's still difficult for PUGs. I could be wrong.
You are wrong, every kill I have of him is from a pug.

Was that even called for?

I agree with what whichwitch said.
Whenever I run through ICC, I still pray for those 264 epics to drop. While its not quite as satisfying as getting my first epic, when I got my first 264 dagger for my rogue, I was pretty psyched.
For some reason, getting new weapons is a lot more exciting to me than any other piece of gear.

All right, you're new here, so I'll explain. Once one of these 'WoW has become too easy' topics pop up, it brings an entire flood of them. Every single time.

Honestly, I think BC was the perfect medium. I loved BC and everything about it. In vanilla getting 40 people to raid was no fun and the gear you needed just never even dropped. Granted some raids in BC were 40 mans, but the option was still there (I do like the current system better, and the proposed cataclysm system I think is great). In BC it felt like you knew your raid more. And everyone started out in Kara and worked their way up to BT, and later on in the expansion sunwell. To me, progression made the game fun, now it is just hit 80, farm heroics, skip all raids and start icc. I feel like content is wasted.
This. Vanilla was obnoxiously long and annoying, WotLK is obnoxiously short and annoying.

Not new here, just the account is. And the last time I checked this was a public forum about general WoW issues. This topic sounds like a general issue to me. So far it's making sense.
But what I don't get is that even though you probably knew what the topic was about before you clicked on it (or at least by the first sentence), you just had to add a comment that lends nothing to the conversation. That goes for all those with the QQ responses. Don't like - don't read.
Back on topic though, despite what everyone else says, it is to easy now. This is coming from a casual-turned raider-turned casual again. Currently I am working on my 5th level 80 for no better reason than that it's so easy to get gear for them now. The fact that you had to wait 2+ hours for a 40man MC run to form in vanilla days only made it that more epic once things got rolling.

Plus:
Grimaxe (orc DK)
Tot (gnome lock)
Bazilkhor (human mage)
and currently have a 76 hunter I'm working on. Those 2 profiles are the only ones I have on here as they were the only toons I used regularly at the time.

I am also a veteran player, and i will agree with you things are easy, there is no need for CC, Kiting, strategy. That will change in Cat we are promised. Biggest problem i have really is how easy it is to get to 80, there is no challenge to makes you a better player.
You also must understand that you were not here for the initial launch of Wrath, it was never as hard as vanilla wow, or even most of BC's heroics. However, it was much more difficult then it is now. When launch was here Tanks had (if you were lucky) 20k HP and healers had 1200 spell power-ish. DPS was doing 2.2k so stuff was staying up a lot longer, healers were going OOM, working hard to keep tank up that had almost no avoidance.
With that said, you are correct in that it is MUCH easier in comparison even in all blue/green gear back then. and the content is a joke compared to even BC. But if you are tanking this stuff, what you are finding is stuff is dying fast, healers can eat pizza and heal you.
When wrath came out, we were all on a heroics roll to get into naxx, but even the heroics have since been nerfed (for players like you) , it was a week at 80 and i was in naxx and when we got into naxx, another surprise, it was easy too. Ulduar, is still perhaps the only content in the game that presented any level of difficulty.
But Bottom line, it is easy as it is for you because you are here in END GAME, blizzard now nerfs everything for end game to make it easy for players like YOU, who have not been here, you can now get geared for END game with a little gold and a few weeks of heroics, otherwise, you would never see end game.
But you said you have always hated raiding, and with that, in my book, that just makes you a casual player who has no business complaining anyway. ;)

This is exactly how I feel. Wasted content = phail. There is almost no point at the moment in enter MC and/or BWL for anything other then personal enjoyment... Heroic modes of a raid is not the answer for extending the life and enjoyment of the game. I have been through AQ40 dozens of times
even on heroic and while difficult it is
... (pretty darn hard), its not new or enjoyable in anyway and I really REALLY don't feel anymore accomplished... Its the same old same old. I choose not to go to AQ40 because its boring.

I am so tired of hearing how easy this game is. If you want it to be a challenge, it is easy to do. Quit now, and when cataclysm hits, play blind. I don't mean turn off the monitor, I mean play without wowhead, YouTube, wowwiki, elitist jerks, and all the other resources you use now. And only run groups with people who do the same.
You will be surprised how hard this game is when you don't know exactly where to go, exactly where to stand, exactly what your opponent is going to do, exactly how many adds are coming and when and fro where.....etc....etc.
Pick your own talents, your own year, gems, enchants ... all without knowing what the haste cap is, or exactly how resilience works, etc. This game is only easy because you have taken all the mystery out of it.

People complained about the colorful mismatch of
Outland gear
. Blizzard listened and brought Northrend color coordination. You can't have it both ways.
*Note, that pic uses the assumption NR gear would look like Outland gear.*

I did my weekly ICC 10 a few days ago, and I swear that some of those bosses go down smoother than some 5-man heroic bosses with pug groups.

My problem with a lot of the Wow has gotten too easy sentiment, is that many of these same people have cookie cutter builds and rotations they got from other people's research, Deadly Boss Mods telling them when to step out of the fire, and study tankspot videos before even stepping foot into the raid. I don't know that the game is that much easier or if we all seem to be taking every step imaginable to make the game easy. In fact most of these things are pretty much considered mandatory in raiding guilds.
