It can work, but it's hardly optimal.

Holy wants a lot of haste, and more spirit; whereas tank healing disc priests want a lot of crit/haste pieces, which usually do not have the sub-par stat of spirit.

do people really try to tank heal as disc?
i though PW:S spam was so OP that it disc better suited to raid healing

lol wasn't trying to troll, and i might have come across a little one sided, sorry about that.

i don't like being asked to heal the tank when I'm disc because i feel I'm more effective at whole raid mitigation. I feel that paladins have more abilities to keep the tank up. Obviously in a situation where I was forced to tank heal i would still be able.

How many pallies would you set to raid healing?
I'm sure they're fantastic tank healers but why try to limit them right?

I believe that disc priests have the ability to contribute more to the raid by raid healing than tank healing, especially if paladin healers are also in the raid.

I don't ever see a situation where taking a second disc healer is a better choice over ANY other healer (in a situation where skill is even across the board) simply because managing weakened soul is a core part of the spec. No other healer has problems with stacking debuffs like disc does.

As a holy priest spec'd into body and soul I'm cautious about casting PW:S because I don't want to step on any disc toes.
