does anyone know of a current mod or way to remove TotT (and or misdirect)?
http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/keepyourthreattoyourself/
is not being worked on anymore...
The reason i ask is i have become tired of jerk rogues who feel that they can pull all they want and FORCE me to tank when we aren't ready or when we are trying to kick them from group for being a(n) ______...
*all i've been able to do to combat this is Shadowmeld... and that isn't always effective.

If you don't find any addon to do it, just make a macro.
/run CancelPlayerBuff("Tricks of the Trade"); CancelPlayerBuff("Misdirection");
I didn't find up to date addon on wowinterface :/

I thought Blizzard changed the way they worked so the target no longer gets a buff. Therefore there is nothing you can do to stop the threat redirection.
I think that might be right. I haven't noticed anything on my target when I Misdirect since I got it a few levels ago on my Hunter.

It's not. I've tested it thoroughly, and at least for TotT it functions like this:
1. You hit TotT, you get a 30 second buff named "Tricks of the Trade"
2. You hit the enemy, you get a 6(10) second buff named "Tricks of the Trade"
3. Your TotT target gets a 6(10) second buff named "Tricks of the Trade"
Canceling your buff will not remove the one on your TotT target. Your buff controls the threat redirect, their buff controls the damage increase.
This is accurate as of about 3 months ago, and I've seen no change in this behavior (although I admittedly have not tested it recently). I'll try to remember to test it again tonight.
/cancelaura Tricks of the Trade will cancel the threat portion of the ability, but you need to make sure that the ability is on cooldown (ie. you've already triggered the damage buff on your target) before you hit it, otherwise it will simply clear the 30 second 'TotT will be applied next attack' buff.

Just double-checked. How I described it above is indeed still how TotT functions.

Ah, well, Misdirect doesn't actually confer any benefit to the target other than threat. I still don't think there's any buff on the target for Misdirect.

Just to re-iterate Wanderingfox's post (he's correct):
You cannot cancel the Aggro redirection part of ToTT if you are the target. You can only cancel the damage buff if you are the target.
The only person who can cancel the Aggro redirection part of ToTT is the Rogue who casted it.
