My biggest DOH moment was when i started my hunter I had just finished the quest to get my pet and i thought pets only lasted 15 mins, as they would disappear after. I tamed like 10 scorpions and 15 raptors before i decided to feed a raptor and it stayed with me.

This was Way back when i first started nearly 3 years ago, before i realized you could lock toolbars. i had accidently switched the attack command on my pets toolbar with stay. and i couldnt figure out for the life of me why he wouldnt go attack my target when i gave him the command. i ended up abandoning 3 pets before i figured out what i did.

When I first started playing I didn't realize that pvp players couldn't kill you on a pve server unless you were also pvp. I was playing a level 14 gnome in Westfall and we got raided. I was terrified and spent the next hour hiding out under inn (tiny gnomes ftw!) while they rampaged the area. They were probably wondering what the hell I was doing down there for so long.
And another doh moment many levels later, right around 60, I finally realized what the rogue power vanish did. I had never used it before because I could never be bothered to pick up the reagent. Seriously, 60....

Playing on my hunter thinking i was still on my warrior engineer and jumped off a cliff in WG to scholozar thinking i was safe and i can pop my parachute, then i remember, "oh wait, this is my hunter not my warrior, OH CRAP!" even though you'd think i'd learn, i still do it on accident...
