Key word there is "usually." 537 is not uncrittable against a raid boss. Against most trash, yes. But not bosses, and that's important. I don't care if 537 defense means something like a .01% chance to be crit, that's still too high as a crit can one shot a tank. So GS better be flagging tanks as under def cap at 537.
Wrong. Most tanks use the stam/resil shoulder enchant and the crit reduction from resilence stacks additively with defense. A tank with 537 defense and the stam/resil shoulder enchant is completely uncrittable in PvE. Gearscore, however, does not register this.
This is one relatively obscure example of how Gearscore's gearing audit fails at gauging a player's skill, and there are many others.
IMO Gearscore should have an update. When you enter ICC, your GS is increased by 30%.
No no no. Your skill is improved by 30%. I thought everyone knew that.

That is exactly what I said.

So you're saying the entirety of GearScore is completely useless in all situations?
That appears to be what you're insinuating.
It's not what I'm insinuating, it's what I'm arguing.
You're being dishonest in implying that I need to make my point indirectly because it is absurd. Your intent is to back up your position by ridiculing the other party because it's not supported by reason.
Or completely take that out of context. I wasn't trying to ridicule you..
I was genuinely unsure if that's the point you were arguing, as you never said it straight. Therefore, you were insinuating it. Relax. This is just semantics, anyways.

The difference between an assertion and an insinuation is not semantic.
The act of arguing about it is semantic.
