Warrior tip on Lich King

Hello everyone, I have come across a little useful trick to use on The Lich King during phase 2.
It is really simple and easy to use and will give you more dps time on the king. The thing is; it is possible to completely ignore the valkyrr if it has grapped a warrior. Just make a healer or perhaps the offtank run to the edge that the valkyrr is flying towards, and when the warrior is dropped he uses intervene on the offtank/healer/whoever is there, and is saved.
I have used that myself once or twice, and both of the times with success.

Sounds risky...

Our hunters have not been able to execute the Disengage with any degree of consistency, so they don't even try anymore. Our warlock does do the Teleport thing though. In your Lich King HM attempts last night, on one pull we had the Warlock targeted by Valks three times; it was awesome not worrying about it.

It could work. But changing stance/zerk/intervene wouldnt it just cost to much time?
Also there should be like dedicated teams for this. Cuz the first problem i foresee is that noone is in your intervene range.
Intercept is the Berserker stance charge. Intervene is the Protection stance "friendly" charge.
When I was in my guild's attempt to kill the LK once (as DPS), after being pulled off I did joke "if you had pulled him to the edge I could have charged back on.
Good to know the general trick does work.
Man, wish Priest had "Life Grip" already. Maybe thats the reason they come up with it - they noticed the need to pull allies back onto solid ground :D

i tried this on our last few LK attempts and intervene didn't work for me. or does the person need to be standing on the edge? coz all i got was "path not available"
This was my initial fear. I know when you are falling to the ground I've been able to intervene (I use it for the elevator after Dreamwalker, a Paladin jumps and bubbles, then I jump after and spam Intervene as I reach the bottom). But I have not had very good luck with intervene when I'm off the edge of a cliff or the world. For sample, in Nexus after the third boss (Anomalous guy), I've jumped off the edge, over the abyss, and tried to charge into the next pack of elemental guys. I got the "path not available" and plunged to my death.
That would be my concern for LK; if you are over the edge already, I don't see how there would be a path available to intervene. The only reason I didn't bring it up was because the OP said that his DPS successfully did it. I still say it's risky and not worth it.

Would a mage's blink work for this as well? I know this is a warrior thread but there is one or two classes that had an appearance in this here post >>
Mages can't even blink through doorways. What makes you think they could blink back on to a platform.

Tried this last night, got the "No path available" error, i thought it would but it was worth trying out. Those kinds of tricks only really work if you're on the same map segment as the target, in a similar way that mages can't blink from indoors to outdoors because it travels across two different segments, you end up blinking to the edge of the segment you're in. I guess it's the same for warriors trying to intervene from midair in one segment to someone on solid ground in another.
