Disc Priest with ICC mana issues

First of all my main spec is Shadow, and I have been focusing majority of my wow time getting gear, gemming, and enchanting for shadow.
A few months back I decide to spend some badges on get a few gems and t9s for disc(since the que is so much faster).
Welp my guild last night asked me to switch to heals for ICC 10 last night since one of our healers couldn't make it. I honestly didn't want too, but there was no choice.
I am pretty familiar with ICC....but as a DPS. Being the tanks healer made me feel like a virgin to ICC.
We made to saurfang, with no problems, tanks never went below 50%...but I notice near the end of the boss fights I am struggling to get my mana above 6k(Start of the fight was 32k with buffs). The fights were longer than usual since we were trying to get gear for a lower GS members, but still I never experience disc running out of mana. I had to drink potions and use that spell that has a 8 minute cooldown to get mana.
I honestly think its my mix bag of gear and missing enchants
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Perenolde&cn=Spinneroes
, thats causing my mana issues.
I don't really have a rotation ,the tanks always had shield on or WS. PoM was always going. FH unless they getting hit really hard then I penance. I also threw out shields to any raid members when they were in trouble(use PS if they had WS).
Just curious what you guys think. Any criticism is welcome(yes even those who can't resist to flame)

The best mp5 is more dps.
I.e., carrying low dps will make you work harder, for longer. OOM is inevitable. Using your mana cooldowns is not "for emergencies only" -- use them! And make sure you have a replenishment source in your group; going with a low-dps makeup and no replenishment is ridiculous. Better to just stand in Dal and troll trade. It will be more fun, I promise.
And get your stuff enchanted! When your heals are bigger, you need to cast fewer of them.

Thanks for the reply.
Yeah I figured my missing enchants and having hitrate on my gear("lol wut?") was my biggest downfall.
Also not having a pally didn't help.
Noob question, what classes replenish? All I know is Shadow priest.

Yeah I figured my missing enchants and having hitrate on my gear("lol wut?") was my biggest downfall.Did you go OOM to an extent where you could not heal when it was required of you? If the answer is no, you did something wrong. You should be aiming to have no to little mana when a fight is finished, it means you did everything that you could have done. Also, get this
meta
- it's around 75 mp5 last I checked, as well as the intellect.

Survival Hunter, frost mage, Ret Pala, Shadow Priest, and I think warlocks.

You really should be using
Insightful Earthsiege Diamond
as your healing meta gem. Get a new hat if you have to. That could be one of the major reasons why you'd run out of mana. That, or a lack of Replenishment.
To get even more mana returns out of your
Shadowfiend
, try casting Hymn of Hope immediately after casting Shadowfiend. The 20% extra total mana given by HoH improves the amount of mana that your Shadowfiend returns as it attacks.

Pallies & Shadow priests have it as a natural part of their rotations, assuming they're not bad and/or selfish.
Hunters & warlocks lose dps to spec for it, but they will if needed.
Mages... the dps penalty is too high. They won't (and shouldn't) provide replenish.

omg it could be a vicious cycle! You bring a frost mage because you need Replenishment... But then you're OOMing as a healer because his DPS sucks...
So you need to maintain the Replenishment... So you bring the mage! OH NO!

Actually most Destro Locks are going to the "Strong Imp" spec, rather than the replenishment spec as the SI spec is theoretically higher currently.
