Maybe a little clarification: Marrowgar is tauntable when he is not on "Bone Storm". You cannot taunt him away from the party during that chaos.

There is a bit of a mechanic in regards to his bonestorm movement. It's much easier to see in 25 man, especially hardmode. Right before the bonestorm, have two of your tanks split to the East and West and a bit closer to the door, and have all of your DPS stack up in the center.

Have the Z tank stay near the ice wall where you normally tank Marrowgar, and have DPS stack inside the center circle but biased toward the door a little. Then make sure the X and Y tanks are even closer to the door than the DPS to form a triangle. You will find that Marrowgar will bounce around from one tank to the other.
If you think for a second, even if you have never used this method, you have probably seen it working in just your normal "everyone spread out!" attempts. I know on my warlock I don't run out to the edges, I just stay put in the center of the room, and Marrowgar will normally fly right over me and bounce around at the outside people.
On 10 man we tried to do something similar and Marrowgar would keep stopping in the center, but it's because we didn't have three points to go toward. If I were to make a guess, I'd say that the background logic is that the game takes Marrowgar's current position and decides to sweep either Clockwise or Counterclockwise, and the first target it finds in that direction is the one he whirls toward. With a three-tank triangle, no matter which tank he's on, he will always find another tank (i.e. if he starts out on X, if he sweeps clockwise he'll find Y, and if he sweeps counterclockwise he'll find Z.

Which is hilarious, because the person who runs out of range of the healers is pretty much
guaranteed
to get killed for it. One of my favorite boss mechanics, that.

The the majority of the group does as this strat suggest and stays, as a pack, together, all you have to move is 5-10 feet from one side to the other. This keeps you in range of healers, and keeps you DPSing much more than running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. I don't, however, think that I have seen a more eloquent explanation of it so grats to Porcell for that.

This thing is just MAGIC, our raidgroups were having ALOT of problems with marrowgar on 10HC, so we decided to try this strategy (as 3rd point we just used a high HP'ed melee dps (in this case me, the enha shaman, because we didn't have any plate dps)).
Result? Oneshotted for the first group, twoshotted for the other (first try it got explained wrong).
Marrowgar whirls only to the 3 triangle-points, like a little puppet he's controlled how he's moving, fantastic!
We'll try the same tactic tomorrow in our 25HC.

True that. His bone storm is controllable. For 10 man Heroic. As a tank, I make sure to run really far away in a corner. He comes at me 70-80% of the time, then I move back into my original position. The extra time lets people do stuff in the middle, heal, clear bone spikes, etc.
