Rogue solo kill on Patchwerk

Just came across this intriguing video :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25vRlh_WL4Y
It was one of those marathon efforts (almost five hours), but he did it with a uniquely tailored Subtlety spec so that he could Shadowstep a
Dig Rat
(lol) in order to buy time for bandaging and cooldowns, and obviously he used a glitch to keep resetting Patch's 8 minute enrage timer.
Still, a pretty creative effort and I take my hat off to his endurance :)
Edit: for anyone not sure of exactly how he did it, there's a detailed write up beneath the video...

Feel bad for the guy. For all that impressive effort, I'd imagine a ban heading his way, if he hasn't received one yet.

Why would he get a ban?
Apart from pushing game mechanics to there absoulte limit I can't see him geting banned for this. I mean it's very impressive, but I doubt it's something many people are going to attempt. It took him over
five hours
to kill Patchwerk by himself and the spec he has at a glance seems tailored just to do this encounter.
So I dare say that this will be a one off occurance. From what I could see in the video and from my own opinion, his game plan seems easy to execute but maintaining that without screwing up or making a single, fatal, mistake is what would make this almost really difficult and almost impossible to pull off.
I still give kudos to this guy for the sheer dedication he showed, I know I couldn't keep something like that up for five hours without going bat #$%^ crazy.

No glitch exploit, simply using the game better than anyone else. Like a great rogue, he didn't out brute force his opponent, he out thought him in every way so that he never really had a chance. Then, he executed his plan to perfection. This is true rogue mastery.
Grats to you.

I agree that it's unlikely that Blizzard will take any 'disciplinary action' over this kill, and I don't think they need to. After all, Naxx is now considered old content, and it's not as if this player is gaining any unfair loot or achievements via this kill. Well, apart from a few /salutes or /cheers from a rogue community who can smile and admire his cunning.
One thing that might happen, is Blizzard could review the mechanism they use for resetting a boss... the rogue was Vanishing or Shadowmelding to get out of combat, but then re-aggroing before his health reset (ouch, imagine if he had a momentary lapse in timing at the 4 hour mark, and Patch reset to full, lol!)... but again, I don't really see that it's necessary. I can't see any way that guilds could utilise this technique to get a Tier 11 world-first, heh.

Resetting the enrage timer without resetting HP is a clear exploit. The dig rat may be some clever usage of (probably unintended) game mechanics, but an exploit is an exploit.

It's the same reason how Ensidia have been mass banned. "Clever use" of saronite bombs to beat the Lich King is a bannable offense according to Blizz.

I'm more worried about the Conquest affair, where a guild got banned for an obvious misjudgement. The more clear the mistake became, the more Blizzard clung to their decision. These people never got reinstalled. And the Wow community ate it.
Or the story of the process sniffer. And again the Wow community ate it.

He exploited, plain and simple, so Blizzard can do whatever they want to. The dig rat is clever use of mechanics, but I'm pretty sure that resetting the timer is an exploit.
That said, I still give props to this guy. It's even better than the rogue 5-manning gruul or the boss in BT.
