I would like some help with Judgement macro...

I'm struggling to make it work. I'm Holy so what I want it to do is judging my target's target without dropping my current target. Currently it looks like
#showtooltip
/cast Judgement of Light
and guess what, it won't work the way I want it to. When I push the button it targets the enemy and then judges. Is there a way to fix it so I don't have to re-select the tank every time I judge?
Thanks.

Could put a /target last target or whatever after the judgment?
I don't know, I have Vuhdo so I usually just keep the boss targeted for entire fights.

I had
target last target
before I started modifying the macro, it wouldn't work either for some reason.

If you use a healing addon, such as Healbot, VuhDo, or Grid+Clique, then you never need to target anyone anyway. Without an addon, you can still get by using mouseover macros. I am constantly targetting the boss during encounters, and to make it easier here's the macro I use:
/assist <tank>
/cast judgement of light
I just type in the tanks name at the beginning of each run, or use the name of a DPSer that I know will be on the right target every time (e.g. on Blood Prince Council).

Did you try this?
#showtooltip
/assist
/cast Judgement of Light
/targetlasttarget
Additionally, you may want to be able to use the macro when you do have an enemy target selected.
#showtooltip
/cast Judgement of Light
/stopmacro
/assist
/cast Judgement of Light
/targetlasttarget

I use mouseover macros to heal but I still like having the tank targeted; I can't heal if I have no friendly target at all, it just doesn't feel natural to me. That's why I'm looking for a macro that would let me judge without having to target the enemy because having to look for the MT frame and click on it after every judgement annoys me.
Kciroi > Yeah I did, that's the macro that is the closest to what I'm looking for, but I have to spam it to make it work.

But did you try to use /assist instead /cast ? I'm not sure why, but that might just do the trick for ya.

Well I
did
say I tried to use /assist instead of @targettarget, in fact it's the macro I'm using right now. I'm just not satisfied with it because it assists the tank, so it selects the mob he's targeting, and I either have to spam it to make /targetlasttarget work or re-select the tank manually.
If there's no way to judge without actually selecting a target I'll live with it but it would be nice.

Well, that's just weird. Both /cast and /assist;/cast;/targetlasttarget should work in the way you want it to, yet you find yourself detargeting all the time. Is it something with Judgement then? I just double-checked and have no issues getting it to work with other abilities.

There's no feasible work-around to your problem. The problem lies in the talents associated with judgement being applied too late due to lag.
Basically:
0.0 Judgement is cast and thus you target whatever you're attacking (built-in in the blizz ui no work-around).
0.0 You target your last target since it's part of the macro sequence which executes when you hit the button.
0.5 Talents associated with judgement applies on both your victim and you forcing you to retarget the victim since you're "attacking" it.
We've had several discussions about this in other threads and done testing always with the same result:
A /targetlasttarget macro will work 10% of the time, but it's nowhere near reliable.

Ok, thanks for that. I guess I'll just go with my current macro if no workaround is available.

Barely related, but I *hate* that going into a portal drops my focus on Val. Any remedy for this? I suppose I could just hardmacro bacon to her.
I like to try to click her and beacon her as I'm falling. Adds a whole new dimension to the fight.
ohcrapohcrapohcrap I have to heal again. ./mousepanic
