I dunno, I live 120km from George Street, it would just seem strange to me to rock up there. Even though I go to Sydney for a lot of reasons (usually they are expensive reasons). Also, if I cried and hugged him, that would be
really
weird.

I've been wondering Tartonga, do you come from a rich family or something, or do they have good general education in Argentina? From what I've heard people learn very little English in South America, or are those just stereotypes?
What about you? You are not from U.S. either, right?
I'm from Denmark, the little alcoholic, racist %^&*country in northern Europe. We learn a lot of English here, starting from 3rd grade, though some schools start already from the 1st. Also, because we are a small country, not many things are translated, there are more American tv shows with subtitles than actual Danish tv shows. The same with computers and their games, I probably wouldn't get top grades in English if I hadn't played so much lol.

I thought Bruun was the only Dane.

You came to Argentina? AND YOU DIDN'T LIKE IT? I bet you haven't even seen 1/10 of it. I don't know if you like to go to pubs or parties, but that's something you should definitely have done while you were here.
What did you do while you visited us?
Avoided homeless people. And Laihendi doesn't do things that involve interacting with people in real-life, so no pubs/parties for her. Don't be offended though, she didn't think it was any worse than New York (maybe a little better).

Aaahhh yeah, I remember I had asked you before where you live, yeap yeap. And when did you get your first game in english and which one was it? Because that helped me a lot too, haha. I remember I was 8 years old when my mom brought me a Gameboy Color with like 3 Pokemon games, all in english and I couldn't understand anything.

But could you at least tell me how the trip was xD? How long did you stay here? What places did you visit? With whom did you come here? Do you speak spanish? And how could you come here if you don't interact with people? I mean, it's so easy to get lost. Did you have any problem?
Answer or I will have to send you a container full of immigrant hobos right to your house.

Hmmm, I think it was a gameboy too with pokemon at around the same age as you xD. I think a ^&*!ton of people from our generation did that lol.

Laihendi had to go there for research for her doctoral thesis. She doesn't speak spanish, she came by herself. She went to Buenos Aires and Montevideo. She was didn't actually interact with people, just observed them, and had no problems. Laihendi knows how to get around.

Our generation was definitely the best generation ever. Did you watch Dragonball and Digimon too xD? Also, a
very
important question: Fire, Water or Grass?

You observed people for your doctoral thesis? What career did you do?

And I thought South America was any different.
Water by far, I always took that.

UHHH, I always choose Fire, UHHH.
And I thought the same about Europe. Even though we both have more in common than the most people I met during my student ex-change.

I think the countries in Europe differ more than in South America though, here almost every country has it's own language while down there you speak Spanish and Portugese and whatnot. There are huge differences between North and South, East and West etc.

Why Afghanistan? I'm not knocking your desire to go there, I'm just interested in what your motivation is?
Adding a few more:
France
Most of it really. It'd be cool to do the Tour de France. I think that would be an awesome way to see France. Of course, I'll never be doing the Tour de France, so yeah. Probably just road-trip the place.
If the Paris-Dakar rally still ran from Paris to Dakar and not in South America, I'd compete in it.
Spain
Barcelona
Madrid
Valencia
Mallorca
Ibiza... please please please. Will probably do Ibiza sometime in 2012 or 2013. Actually, come 2013 when I can legally drive again, I might do a massive world backpacking trip and be an international hobo for 5 years or so.

I want to visit the holy city one of these days. Muslims say that if I pray at Mecca, the prayer is 100 times stronger than anywhere else....
Post by
donnymurph
Wouldn't it be less strong? Because there'd be a whole bunch of people praying there all the time, so Allah would get confused with all the voices, and yours would just be drowned out in the din.
Post by
gnomerdon
Possibly, but i'll give them the benefit of the doubt... T__T
