Depends entirely on your economy. Check your AH or
http://www.wowecon.com/
. Other than that, we can't help too much.

Sorry but farming and profitable dont go in the same sentence. Read greedy goblin, you need it.

There really is more to Warcraft that Gevlons blog Wildhorn.
I know, but when someone prove you with facts and data that you make barely more gold via farming than dailies, but you still farm, you have an issue.
It is like that someone prove you that using stair instead to jump down throu the windows is less damaging for your health, yet you still jump throu the window, you have an issue.

By definition, this is incorrect. Profitable means to have a net gain after you take the amount of money you've made and subtract any costs. Since there's no cost in farming outside time, all farming is profitable. The question then becomes
how
profitable, and this is where your point makes sense. Farming has a much lower value to time spent ratio than crafting / playing the AH.

all of them!
I just go up to Zul'Drak and farm
Frozen Herbs
for a variety. The frozen herbs are all over the place, so you can easily fill your bags here.
Wintergrasp has quite a few. It also tends to have a few of the "rarer, less frequently farmed" herbs in general.

On my own servers, low level herbs make far more on the AH than any of the Norhrend herbs (with Frost Lotus as the exception ofcourse).
But it all depends on your server.. just check out the herb prices in your AH for a while and you will find out what sells for most, and that will be a much better indication than anyone here can give.

best place to go to look for what items are worth farming / lacking on your ah (I could tell you what herbs i farm for 2k+ an hour on mine but it varies from server to server) It also will tell you the server average price and the global (within eu or us) prices

Lichbloom and goldclover are the 2 biggest moneymakers on my server 45-50g/stack for lichbloom and 40-45g/stack for goldclover. Lichbloom is insanely easy to farm even with others farming it at he same time in StormPeaks. 45 minutes I usually farm about 4-5 stacks of Lichbloom along with 3 stacks of Icethorn.
Keep in mind this is on THIS person's server. On my server goldclover can go for anywhere from 65-100g a stack and we're relatively high population. We have a lot of rich raiders way too lazy to go gather, and too few gatherers gathering that particular mat most of the time.

Yes it does, frost lotus is cheap as heck on our server most days. I can snap up a dozen for less than 30g.
