OKAY! To clear up alot of the confusion on this:
(and btw im somebody who posts on elitest jerks hunter forum regularly)
The BEST nonBM pve pet is a wolf. Hands down.
The best BM pve dps pet is the devilsaur. Again hands down.
The best tank pet is debatable between warp stalkers and turtles for damage migitation and between bears and crocs for AoE aggro
Well the OP who is they only one iIm talking about was talking about pet's for pvp. The only person who seemed to be confused about a pve pet in a pvp thread is aftermath.

One thing, aside from CD and duration, is dmg. This is why alot of Hunters choose the Ravager for the dmg/stun combo.
Good point. I didn't think about that 'cause I pvp as BM and so I've chosen a silithid which has the root AND the damage. But for MM, yes, that is more damage, although I'm pretty sure you'd do more yourself.
Yes, MM the Hunter does more dmg. IMO, the pet is burst dmg, and the Ravager is good for that.
Ravage
+
Wolverine Bite
+
Kill Command
= Awesome burst.
(Proper scaling isnt added to Rav. and WB)
Not to mention the CC that MM has already. Spiders delay death, but Ravagers (since they are being used in the debate) promote it.
Again, personal preference

Sidenote to xcrunr1647: for multi-target dps I would go with the sporebat over anything else. AoE dot + armor ignore for the entire pack and mana return if its a particularly large pack and you out of mana from your volley spam.
I have actually never seen anyone with a sporebat before, so it never crossed my mind as a possibility. That would definitely take the cake on hunter pets aoe dps. Thanks =)
