A question I do have though, is why people want actual war in warcraft, as pvp is not war. War is fought with armies with generals, and as anyone who has played a battleground can tell you, the player base is not an army. At best we are mercs, we head out and do things for money and honor. Some people
do
equate PvP with "war." As far as I'm concerned, if PvP counts as "war," so does every bedamned quest that requires me to kill a quingigillion bedamned fel orcs or whatever.
Again, it's hardly going to be very peaceful if every demon, dragon, zombie, or eldritch abomination is out to get you. If anything, picking a fight with those damn humans or those damn orcs is counterintuitive under such circumstances...and if the dragon attacks you next, you brought it down on your own head.
So, maybe you're just looking forward to go to "war" against Dragon npcs and avoid PvP at all, but the thing that I'm really waiting for is the new PvP system. Garosh will bring back the WAR into WARcraft. If anything I want the old horde to return...
But hey...that's one opinion. You claim that this is just your opinion, and that you respect others' right to disagree. However, the way you put it certainly doesn't make it seem that way.
You don't see me telling PvPers to go play Counterstrike or something (although, as you can see above, I certainly can't speak for others on that count). So why do you feel the need to imply that it doesn't count as "war" if it's against NPCs?

i hate garrosh as a character but as ive said before he may end up being a good plot device.
and as for the ppl who think garrosh is a good leader this is not WAR if you want a mindless idiotic retarded brutish army of thick headed violent monsters, da greenskin iz good fo u.
this is WoW where the war is not something you have to look far to find and the story a bit more complex then "bash dem!".
This is one reason that I like Garrosh. You can hate his actions and want him to die all you'd like, but you cannot deny that he is an excellent plot device and gives the Horde a whole new level of depth.
I hated WotLK for numerous gameplay reasons, but this expansion also contained probably the most plot of any so far. Let's face up: up until WotLK, the Horde was relatively boring. Sure, they were worldly concerns and some dissent within the Horde itself (notably the Grimtotems as well as some of the Forsaken), but they were relatively peaceful and peachy-keen with each other. With Garrosh in the picture, the mood has been drastically altered, even driving the Horde to the verge of a schism. It'll be interesting to see where the storyline goes next and how the Horde changes with (or without, possibly) Garrosh, IMO.

That is something (despite my detest for him and what he's going to do to my beloved horde) that I will agree with, it will be intresting. I just don't want there to be such a drastic change as one of the characters I love in the lore dying to progress that story. Hell, I've stopped reading certain comics when a characters died, since after that the substance of the story has to hold for me.
And garrosh is a cataclyst, one to spark war between both sides, but not one to progress the horde in an honorable way.

Garrosh will strengthen the Horde, and drive the Alliance off of Kalimdor proper (exiling them to the squidgoat isle and elf tree). His orcly strength will so impress Jaina that she'll fall head over heels in love with Garry and defect, becoming bride of the Warchief and bearing a large litter of half-orcs to continue on the proud Hellscream legacy.
Finally, he'll invade Storwind City and face King Wrynn one on one (Jaina cheering him on) and after an epic battle they'll end up killing each other ala Superman vs Doomsday. In the aftermath Jaina Hellscream takes up the mantle of Queen regent of the Alliance and Warchief of the Horde, uniting the two into a mighty Hordliance. Game over, then end.
I'll just break that down to one simple thing.
Vol'jin
Poison
Arrow
In
Garrosh's
Face
But really, the first bit, strengthen the horde.. nah, I know it was meant as a joke, but nah.

Meh, as I said, I'm hoping for a real redemption for Garrosh at some point.... and again, not a fake one like what happened to Arthas at the end of Wrath(*grumble*always be a lich king*grumble*was a piece of his soul holding back the scourge all this time*grumble*).

Yeah, when I heard that there always had to be a Lich King I knew a flaw.
The Lich King controls the scourge and keeps them in LINE!
If you kill the Lich King, doesn't that mean that the undead will go nuts and stupid? Won't they split up and do their own stupid crap?
Wouldn't they be easier to kill at that time?

If the lesser ones didn't stop moving completely after all; sure the lieutenants and commanders would still be a problem... but those are a small portion of the army. It was a bad plot hole, simple as that heh.

I hope he goes completely bonkers when leading the horde, drinking tainted blood, invites a couple of demons to join the horde. i wanna see fel orcs (those red spiked ones from tbc, hellfire, smv, terrokar) among the elite guards in Orgrimmar and as questgivers in new zones.
Eventually i hope he will shift from faction leader to a pve raidboss, where we have to fight through a instanced Orgrimmar, full of horde loyal to garrosh, some demons, fel orcs and garrosh as end boss of that raid. Would be epic.
The playable horde faction sets up some troll/orc refugee camps outside Thunder Bluff.
For us Horde we would temporarily help some alliance sub-faction (not alliance itself, but some alliance led themed faction) that besieges orgrimmar (a rep faction, similar to ashen Verdict)
His decent from faction leader to raid boss should be slow, gradually building up mistrust amongst both factions (especially his own) where he gets one crazy idea after another and alienates everyone.

That's all I can say.

Not really. since orgrimmar is the hordes capital city for one, not like icc is anything but a raid dungeon, and he said garrosh would lose himself slowly over the expansion, unlike arthas who went full on boss type once he picked up frostmourne.

Not only that, but the Lich King himself says after you defeat him that you defeated his strongest men and bested every obstacle! I mean that's not a small plot hole, its a gaping one.

I hope that he realizes the error of his ways and become a powerful and wise Warcheif.
He's the son of Grom Hellscream. I can't bring myself to hate him when he father was that damn awsome!
