Heh aye... or people declaring things about the Leaders they don't know the full information about them.

An interesting turn of events. Horde looses two leaders, get a bloodthirsty Warchief instead of a wise and smart one, Cairne dies. Seriously, I liked the horde feel because they knew what honor is, unlike the traitorous alliance scum : "So we held of Archimonde together with your sacrifices, ok so for that we will destroy you. Have a good day" - Night Elves, Dwarves and Humans.
Makes me a sad Tauren.
This is stupid.
You say absolutely nothing about the Alliance having every justification for killing members of the Horde. At that time the orcs had done almost nothing to redeem themselves. In fact, Grom had murdered Cenarius with the power of the BLOOD OF ARCHIMONDE.
Not until the orcs helped the Alliance defeat the Burning Legion at Hyjal were redeemed. Before that, all they did was sshake off their old heritage to become shamans, but they had done nothing to atone for their past crimes. (Horde will disagree with me here. Oh well.)

/sigh, Cairne isn't dead, nothing has been released to confirm that other then a rumour that started in SomethingAwful.Baine has been confirmed as the new tauren leader. There's also a screen cap confirming the death of a tauren of some standing; however, there's no proof that it's Cairne.
However, even if Cairne
does
die (as opposed to just stepping down), there are other possibilities:
1) Magatha has him assassinated.
2) He's
old
.
Besides, I'm a bit leery of a rumor from the same source that claimed Thrall would be Guardian of Tirisfal. There's already a
little green stub-tendriled Marty Sam
"drumorc shamageicator" holding the position.

ejem, lolotea, the correct term for med'an would be "Drumorc Drushamagepriescator" remember that he's a mage+shaman+priest+vindicator+druid+Reseller of tickets of the Roman Circus xD

Where has Baine been confirmed as the new Tauren leader? I've seen it discussed a lot but no source, just wondering.
And I personally believe that if the rumors of Cairne being assassinated turn out to be true it's just Blizzard telling us that Garrosh will die, and soon. I mean, if it's true then you will have a leader that everybody unequivocally
hates
and you can't let that run indefinitley, Horde players would tear Garrosh to pieces. Heck, a bunch of them are already itching to do so, having him kill Cairne would just seal his fate.
Personally, I'd prefer his fate sealed without losing a lore favorite, Cairne would be missed.

meh,, it has been common knoledge that baine would be the new leader for quite some time, even before cataclysm was announced.
the earliest known intel about that was in the patch that revamped onyxia as a lvl 80 raid.
datamined files showed a new NPC giving the quests baine used to handle, and also a Children's week quest where the lil orc orphan asks the autograph of garrosh rather than cairne's.
so cairne being replaced WAS known for quite some time long before cataclysm was even announced.
that being said, all that IS confirmed is Baine as chieftain of the tauren, there is NOTHING WHATSOEVER hinting about poor cairne dieing, much less getting killed.

Heh, aye, I know; I can see Cairne dying of old age sure, but not being killed by a fellow Horde leader (the Crone isn't one lol). As for Med'an.. I like the Sue Guardian, so yeah.

Because demonic possesion or something like that has nothing to do with it. Because Mediwh opened the portal on his own will right? Because Arthas became the Lich King on his own will?
Demonic possession is everything, however they were possessed willingly. Medivh did not open the portal of his own free will, however the orcs would not have ahd to come through if they hadn't killed their own planet. And yup Arthas did become the LK of his own free will. His soul was gone but he wasn't mind controlled.

However, that would mean that Something Awful was right...which would be just plain galling. As for Med'an.. I like the Sue Guardian, so yeah. Here's how I see it: If the shamageicator dies after they went to all of the trouble of plot-armoring him, that's a new depth in terms of bad writing.
However, if he remains Guardian of Tirisfal...that means that he, for the most part,
stays out of our virtual hair

again lolotea, the correct term for med'sue is "Dr-um-orc Dru-sha-mage-pries-cator" remember that he's a draenei+human+orc that also has a class of druid+saman+mage+priest+vindicator+Reseller of tickets of the Roman Circus xD

Well to be fair... any Guardian is OP to the max; the First Guardian tore apart a Dreadlord one on one, Aegwynn killed an Avatar of Sargeras, and Medivh tore open the dimensions between Azeroth and Outland; they are super powered, and if Thrall got turned into one too... he would be just as OP.
