Well the only advice I can give would be that of which I have gained through experience. I have the non-tier chest, ICC 25 264 helmet, T10 gloves and shoulders, Pillars of might, and Boots of kingly upheaval.
Here
is my Armory.
Unlike alot of people, who's soul purpose is highest gearscore, I chose my gear carefully. Nearly every piece of gear you see on my character was thought out in advance before I obtained it. I itemized my gear for a specific reason: To Maximize my Armor and HP while still maintaining hit and expertise caps and a 2 piece T10 bonus, my current setup has achieved just that.
So thats my input.
Thanks,
-Dec

Gratz!
Another reason I went with my current set up was becuase the gloves and shoulders were "Least likely to get upgraded by ICC drops". The ICC 264 shoulders are meh and every other piece of (main) gear will drop from ICC relatively painless. Alot of people go with the helmet, but I figured the ICC 264 helmet is an awesome item and a quick drop, so I figured I'd get the gloves instead of the helmet becuase there isn't much for tanking gloves in ICC until you get to heroics.
If I had got the kraken gloves, I would have either had to get the T10 chest(sacrificing expertise and def rating), the helmet(sacrificing hit and str/stam), or the pants(not giving up my pillars of might so i can tank in a dress).
Plus IMO, the T10 gloves look better than the kraken gloves and give a healthy amount of def rating that I lack from having crafted boots/pants.
To each his own, Itemize to get what you want.

If you want the 2pc bonus the best way to get it without sacrificing too much armor/hp would be indeed to wear t10 helm and shoulders.
However, you should keep the Heaume helm for now cause you can't afford to lose hit, so then it's a matter of which one you want more: Gauntlets of the Kraken or Cataclysmic Chestguard. Considering that you're a bit under hit cap I would keep the tier gloves for the hit and bonus (combined with shoulders) while getting the 264 Chestguard.
Then you can safely wear the Pillars of Might and still be hit/def/exp capped (with glyph of seal of v.)
I am also using the T10 helm and shoulders with the pillars of might and the boots of kingly upheaval.
Have a look but please don't bash on the expertise cap or the meta gem choice. I wanted the T10 2 piece bonus and sacrificed the
245 helm
for the bonus.

Next Frost purchases will be the Cataclysmic Chestguard and then finally the stam trinket.
Am i making the correct frost emblem choices fearless leaders?

btw I run ICC with a hardcore casual guild. I run when I can what I can and do my dailies and weekly's.
Beyond that I do not plan on doing 25mans or hard modes any time soon.
the edits above were grammatical and a picture insertion to add some humor.

I guess if your DPS are contantly riding your threat generation, then you need it.
This is only true for me with hunters that do not
Feign Death
to drop aggro every once in a while.
