-> Total 5-player dungeons entered: 200. Lol. (it says i killed Tharon'ja 12 times, which is pretty hell wrong, the statistics are goofy sometimes) Been tanking randoms since 15 till 77. My playtime was at 2 days at about level 55.
Yes, tank-leveling is bloody fast and fun.

I agree that it became easier to lvl since vanilla.
Still i hate the 50-58 lvls so much i hope that with lfd will become more easier to pass them but still the instances are so boring after zf.
Maraudon is like omg so boring....
Most players have never experienced them(even older players) and they blind-search.They skipped them, because to find a grp while lvling before the change in lfd was way to hard.
(not to exclude myself i must say i have forgotten them only the ones that sometimes i boost or being boosted from a friend through my chars i really remember well)
As for the OP: u don t state any question and its like feel free to share ur experience^^

You don't get to complain about Maraudon if you didn't raid AQ40 at level 60. Sorry.
As for levelling now... It's too easy for my tastes.

I wasn t talkin about the raids mate just the instances...but i agree with you, it was hard.
I remember when they needed 20 and 40 man unlike now that is 25 most.
AQ old naxx ragnaros the drakes all where..........
Back then a single run scholomance(for example) was 3 hrs.
Although i can confess that i wasn t the pve guy back then but i had my raiding nights with a friend's priest.
I liked pvp back then and i rarely joined a raid. And it wasn t like it's now that u can do both things..it was one or another, pick and play.
Rank 13 to rank 14 needed/required lots of hrs gaming in the day....like 14-16 hrs.You losed 1 day and u losed 1 week to gain that day back.
As for levelling now... It's too easy for my tastes.
U must understand that bliz is a company that wants profit. So this "nerf" to the game was to bring more ppl to the game and give the oportunity to older players that skipped content to see it without spending lots of hrs and imo it was a hit.
Wotlk i agree bliz make it omg-kinda super easy someone might say.
Faster lvling-giving buffs/upgrading tiers pretty often made it so easy.
Because of this older players dream the old days for their hardships to obtain 1 single item and pretty much don t like how the game came to be.
And now u can see 1 new player that started 2-3 months ago and can match(or surpass) gear with 1 that plays since beta(althought here comes the skill to balance things but still...)which in the vanilla was almost or entirely impossible to happen.
I can see why they did what they did, but as u i m not entirely happy about it.
Though i m also a lore guy i wanna see the end of this story so probably i ll still be playing untill the end.

Sorry, I'll elaborate. I was talking about Maraudon. The thing is, AQ40 contained a particular boss that required at least 15 raiders with lots of nature resist, but was otherwise not that hard. To get enough nature resist it was necessary to grind Maraudon. Grinding Maraudon at level 60 fully decked in MC and BWL gear is very not great.

Man i agree with you...
I absolutely understand what u are saying.
The thing i mentioned in my first comment is that many ppl don t know or remember vanilla content and in some instances wonder inside untill they find the boss that ends it and gave them the satchel.
Maraudon came up first to my mind and i mentioned it.I really didn t think before writing it....so excuse me for that.
Basically,to tell you the truth, i was running maraudon with my lowbie warrior tank today(20~30mins before the first post maybe)and as i queued for a random dungeon it showed up.I pressed to enter and found myself in "half-run".The rest teammates were wondering to find the "right" way to finish it.Someone bored(obviously the tank)and quitted.
Same thing when uldaman was up.
And that's why i posted it.

Personally I don't find dungeons very quick to get into. Any level < 80 and you're almost always waiting on a healer. Once you hit 80 that changes and tank waits are non-existent.
Depending on the zone it's easier to quest imo. So many quests can be grouped up and done, yielding more experience than a typical dungeon. There is a nice spot there up until about 35 though where if you kill everything in a dungeon and complete it, you'll get a good chunk or maybe even a complete level.
Depends on the battlegroup. I have only really been waiting for >1 minute when i tried to get a group late at night, like after 2:00 am. I remember it was pretty fast since lvl 15... then there was a little slowdown in the Sunken Temple-BRD level bracket (Maraudon was actually pretty fast, since it was cut into 3 smaller sections)... which is understandable, because Sunken and BRD are a major pain in the @ss. In TBC instances it was almost always an instant, and Northrend too.
Quests grouped up? :P The biggest fun with a prot spec is doing the group quests solo :V
Also, there is nothing like taking a gryphon from Ironforge to Booty Bay to finish some quests in Stranglethorn, and outleveling the entire zone during the flight by doing random instances.
I also remember it took exactly two complete clearups of Uldaman to do 39->40. :D Did that with a single group, we had quite a lot of fun.

Same in my battleground queues are really fast during day after 2-3 am it gets difficult to grp.
Also not only grp quests u can solo but if ur quest needs to kill 15 mobs+(like nagrand) its very fast to taunt em and kill em all in one spot.
I m currently skipping quests from 50-58(i hate/bore these lvls).Alterac valley and Lfd is a win for lvlup.

Ding! Got lvl 80 while tanking Halls of Lightning yesterday.
210 dungeons and about 630 quests completed.
299 quests in Northrend.
90 quests in Outland.
170 quests in the old Azeroth.
Got defense cap for heroics immediately at the moment i hit 80 (i am using the elixirs with +defense rating, there were 3 stacks just lying in the guild bank).
Tanked Azjol Nerub heroic. Two DPS did 4k+ overall, a.k.a. semi-decent DPS guys. I did 2100 dps overall, with that heirloom mace. Never lost aggro on anything.
I am soooo looking forward to messing up with all the "low gearscore tank gets kicked immediately" and "warriors can not AoE tank" trolls.

Grats for starters!
I hit 60 yesterday in Hellfire ramparts and started to messing with shockwave.(i m dazed xD)
For the last part now.....
I have experienced this on my shaman but while i was farming my gear from hcs and have seen it done on tanks especially. If they want end-game gear they can grp with their guild mates and don t whine on ppl who looking to gear up.
This behaviour is pointless imo.Noone when hitted 80 had the "wanted" gear.
GL with ur gearing.
I m looking forward too to 80-tanking hcs.

Well warriors can not AOE tank if 2 second after the pull your dps pops everything and goes over 9000. The only option for you left is to use challenging shout. And I rarely see rogues or hunters using MD or tricks on me. But I never care for such people that pull aggro off me and then complain bout my tanking, really.
If they don t use their abilities to lose aggro is not your fault when they see ur gear and don t cooperate with u, but instead they hit all they ve got to max their dps.
PS:I really liked ur signature!xD
And i was thinking why i haven t seen any tauren rogue out there......
LoL wtf who's that behind me?
............
arghhh

I'm doing the same at the moment with my warrior tank.
I hit 31>32 today by doing three runs of SM library, which i chose manually because SM graveyard really isnt worth it.
I think with all the heirlooms its a bit slower than questing but i rather mindlessly tank mobs than doing the same quests for the 10. time.
Also: Insta invite in my realmpool > travelling with the slowest mount to new zones etc.
Overall its easier to level in dungeons, maybe a bit slower and boring when you do the same dungeon for the fifth time.
