Hi,
my title explain mostly everything.
I'll be in need of hit. I'm actually a 8% (the soft cap if I'm right)
I sadly got that atm :
Runetotem's Legguards of Conquest
Just got this :
Plague-Soaked Leather Leggings
It's not the BiS, I know but, once I'll drop mine from VoA :
Lasherweave Legguards
I'll still need hit. I drop down to 6% hit with any of the legs. I was at 10% hit before and dropped to 8% and I've already notice a little drop of TPS.
So I'm wondering, what's the best way to get hit as druid tank ? Just regemming everything until I'm soft capped ?
Or is there another way to get to the hit cap gemming stam ? (trinket, mayne changing a specify pieace of gear, which enchant would be to consider)
I know there is :
Abomination's Bloody Ring
but last time I done icc 10, didnt dropped and the time before, I didn't get it. So not lucky. Maybe tomorrow. But I would need more idea.
Thanks !
PS : since we will ask for my armory, here you go :

I've talked with a bear tank on my server, and he kinda told me that hit help with TPS, but it's not "that important" he have like 2-3% and do fine.
The problem is it #$%^ me a bit to not always be able to hold a high dps/gs Warrior that bladestorm or like demo warlock that morph and go all out on aoe.

This = impossible
You don't need any additional hit. 8% is the hard cap since raidbosses count as level 83.
Feral Specific Questions:
What are the Hit and Expertise Caps for both Cat and Bear Forms?
Hit Rating reduces the chances for your attacks to
miss
. 32.79 Hit Rating reduces the chances for your attacks to
miss
by 1%. You need a total of 8% or 263 Hit Rating to Reach the Hit cap, after which no attack will
miss
. This is the amount required for both Bear and Cat forms.
I have kinda low hit on my pala, so I turned off the display off all successful outgoing attacks and only left to show misses/dodges and parries - it's not often I see a miss - but it happens that a HotR flys right over the mobs' heads and a warlock dies (not that anyone cares).
Expertise on the other hand has both a hard and a soft cap, soft cap is 26 (to avoid dodge) and something higher to avoid parry (dun remember since the only time I melee nowadays is with my shammy and is standing behind the boss). You have plety of that so no worries there.
Noose of Malachite from icc25man gives you plenty of hit, it's from Dreamwalker so I dunno if you are doing that part on 25man yet but it's something to shoot for.

Technically you don't need hit cap. I wouldn't worry about it too much if you drop below 8%.

So you're saying that even if I drop at 4-6% hit, it won't be that much to worry about ?
Then, why I can't hold a "full-buffed-bladestorm" ? Or a Demo lock full-buffed when he morph and charge ?
I got told that it's hard to keep aggro on all mob then they just pop everything and so a big 15k dps in heroic. But yeah, it kinda $%^& me off, I feel bad for not holding it.

Correct. The huge, long explanation is somewhere buried in a thread over at EJ, but the gist is that you...
Get a partial energy refund for CP-generating, yellow attacks that miss.
Talent into an 80% energy refund for finishers that miss.
You attack at <=1.0 with a 1.0 GCD. The itemization that you're skipping to raise your hit is better spent at improving your offensive stats. Again, this isn't just my opinion. If any of the regulars read this thread, they can vouch for the math on this.
As I said in another thread, there are two situations where Hit and Expertise become better than any other stat...
When you're at Crit cap and you're losing crits because you still have Miss and Dodge on your combat table.
When you're at or very near Armor Penetration cap and you have no more ArP to stack.
For some anecdotal data, this comes from an ICC
parse
of the bosses through Sindragosa from a few weeks ago. I have 4.48% hit from gear and 4.75% anti-dodge from 19 expertise. Across the whole night...
Shred -- 203 Hits + 641 Crits + 9 Dodges + 22 Misses
Converting those to percentages...
875 Total Shreds --23.2% Hits + 73.2% Crits + 1.0% Dodges + 2.5% Misses
If every one of those 3.5% (31) avoided attacks was followed by a 70-80% energy refund and I was paying attention to whether or not each attack lands, then it's going to have a fairly insignificant effect on my cycle.
Paring it down to one boss fight (Saurfang), the number of avoided attacks drops to 2 (1 Dodge, 1 Parry).

Well, On raid boss, I just kinda never lose aggro most of the time.
I was also wondering, Low hit = Less chance of taunt also, which can be bad on some situations.
So I'm still wondering if right now I dont keep the 232 over the 251

Wow. The word tanking being in the second-to-the-last line in the post was something I definitely missed.

Wll, I downed to 5% hit. I'll see how it is. I got 3k hp from that and like 120+agil, so I'll check it out how it goes and I'll just hit hard expertise cap when I'll get the leg from voa.. Kinda odd but, I guess its cool.

You have these backwards. 26 lets you not get dodged, while the higher cap (56) lets you not get parried. But since melee DPS stands behind the boss and mobs can't parry attacks from behind they only need to worry about the dodge cap.
Ah, thx mate. Fixed it now =)
