Twin's Pact vs. Oxheart

Oxheart seems like a great TPS weapon for my bear given the attack power/expertise and it has more stamina than Twin's Pact, but obviously I'm losing tons of dodge and armor. They both have their strengths but is there a consensus on whether Oxheart is viable for druids?

IMHO, the only
excuse
for using Oxheart as bear could be serious lack of expertise rating (below 6.5%). Loosing chunk of dodge and armor simply isn't worthed for some extra TPS gain because of higher weapon iLvl.

um, no, just no. Oxheart is a much better weapon. The amount of armor and dodge gained from the Agility is miniscule next to the amount of stamina and expertise gained both of which are more important. Plus the extra socket makes the oxheart a much much better tanking weapon.

Tired and was about to hop off so will make it short, Oxheart is a perfectly suitable weapon for tanking.

It's viable yes. But I still prefer an agi weapon.

For what it's worth, I have been loving this weapon. My TPS has gone through the roof. Once a warrior/pally pull off me in single/aoe tanking respectively, I don't usually get the mob back, but since I equipped this, I have been consistently out-aggroing tanks that just usually drop a consecrate and have everything stick to them like glue.
The feral rotation of spam maul, keep up cds of mangle, ff, 5xlacerate, and swipe/demo in between is pretty stagnant and doesn't really allow for "burst" aggro like a warrior, for example, so I've really felt this weapon has increased my ability to keep up.
I always definitely keep old gear so I'm sure Twin's Pact will have some uses but I think the added TPS is probably more beneficial at this point since my heals aren't ever struggling to keep me alive.

My "TPS" upgrade over Twin's Pact was
Shaft of Glacial Ice
, felt the same way about threat like you do now. But sure, everyone is allowed to carry whatever rocks their boat. My personal attitude is I wouldn't feel proud wielding DK tanking weap no matter if ferals on
Oxheart topic
recommend it or cry about it, thats why I started my last post with "IMHO". Cheers.

I am curious about a few things said in this post. Firstly, just dropping consecrate = fail. Pally tanking has more depth than that. You play the simplest tanking class of all, do not hiss at pallies dude.
Warriors have good burst aggro? Oh man, looking forward to that new burst aggro ability. Lvl 77 warrior ATM and didnt notice anything even remotely as ground breaking as Berserk + Enrage in bear form. Druids can do massive threat bursts.
Anyway, go for Oxheart.

Relax dude. My Paladin comment was hyperbole about the strength of their aoe tanking, which even Blizzard has repeatedly stated needs to be scaled back.
My warrior comment about burst was in quotes for a reason. It's something you can argue about, but I think warriors have some of the best single target burst aggro in game given that with a couple SB procs, you are consistently spamming SSlam, not to mention HS and Revenge.
