Good job you posted this here. I posted an exactly identical thread in the Official forums and got banned for 2 weeks (Dont ask me why).

I gotta say, when I was leveling, everyone called me that at the slightest mistake. ans now when I play on my alts, in a party, it turns out there's a lot of people who deserve that name. Pet on aggressive, pullling before tank (me), MDing healer (whether by mistake of for fun)...turns out there's a lot more idiots out there than you'd think. And it's because of them that you get called a huntard for anything through 50 to 70 levels.

This stigmata, has plagued us Hunters for IDK how long. Adamsm dates this back to Vanilla.
Than came WotLK, and 'Huntards' became 'Deathnoobs'. /face palm
It may be true that Hunters have a tendancy to make things interesting, but there are 'tards', sorry if that offends anyone, of all Classes, not just Hunters. There are more mistakes from bad healers, stupids tanks, and other DPS classes that cant manage aggro, than there are mistakes my Hunters,
I think 'Huntard' was invented, because it was easy to come up with.

The stigma will stay with us no matter what, we hunters just have to face it. Because it's just easier to blame someone for the wipe than to fess up and be a "man" and take it. Yes there are "huntards" out there. Most of them are just people who have no clue how to run a hunter....in fact, they usually have mains that are 80, they just think that because "every" hunter is a huntard that they can let out their inner troll and be complete donkey hindquarters. This continues the vicious cycle, as those same people will blame their fail on the hunter on their mains.
Yes, I know I sound bitter. But it is the dark unpleasant truth that we must face. So go forth and make bad tanks, fail heals and of course "deathnoobs" in revenge, so that all classes will be unwelcome in raids, and the elitist jerks choke on it when they don't get an invite.
Wow, maybe that was a little over the top.....

That's proof we're not the only 'tards around.
Just be glad we are not like death knights.
The word people use for noob death knights is just "DK".
Poor dk's.
Man, I could've sworn that was an abrieviation.

I got called a Huntard the other day. Right after the first pull. I was using my new black wolf, so it was only lvl 76. I MD'd the tank, he pulled, I blew $#@% up (like any hunter would in a heroic that everyone outgeared), he ported back to Dalaran during the pull, I pulled aggro, we killed the group and everyone wondered what happened to the tank.
He responded that I was a huntard for going "ALL OUT" before he had aggro. I linked misdirect to the group, we quickly booted him for being moody and sensitive. Then the druid in group picked up tanking and we 4 manned it.
I assume the tank had something else to do and was just waiting for his guild to get it going. Didn't take offense to it, but really? It bothered me more that "huntard" is a copout/scapegoat for other classes.
It's hard for a hunter to do something horrible and wipe a group. Especially a group that heavily outgears an instance.
Other classes need to quit being so moody...
It's not our fault we're #$%@ing AWESOME!

...Huntard Story...
I do this sometimes. For fights like Novos the Summoner I put pet on Aggy, then forget to switch him back, so we head to the bat chamber and he aggroes everything and dies...
Not a huge problem, since groups are overgeared, but I get some comments about it. Everyone has those moments, I hope. Pet is just 1 more thing to look after.

I can honestly say i've never been called a huntard. Is it cause i've never made a mistake? Nah, that's ridiculous. Is it because people are getting more tolerant that hunters aren't the only ones who make group-killing mistakes? Mmm.. that's probably a part of it. No, I think the main reason is that when I do fubar something, i admit it -quickly- and apologize. It's amazing how far an "osh!@, sorry about that" will go with a pug. Try it out sometime.

I'm reasonably new to WoW, and I'm yet to even get to 70. But I think I'm reasonably good at hunter'ing. Huntard seems to be an opinion word, but from what I know a huntard is someone who is just completely oblivious and lazy. They refuse to use traps, they refuse to off-tank, they won't control their pets or their shots, or (Insert large list of crap I edited for length). Long story short, they think they're hot sh*t and don't do anything for the group. In my opinion.

I've gotten things blamed on me a lot while leveling my hunter up. It was something I got used to. Every time something was aggroed that wasn't supposed to be, people blamed it on my pet or me. It's pretty sad especially when you get people who can barely play their role and they complained about you.
