My issue is that I am an orc hunter, I have blood fury tied into my main macro that cast a list of talents when I pull a boss. Now comes my issue I have recieved the one hand axe in toc called blood fury.
Even tho its not equiped (im saving it cause 1 hands seem to drop more in icc for me than a 2 hand) and it sits in my bank. My tool tip for my macro which used to show my talent now shows the axe, and it will not let me cast my racial in the macro now.
Is there a way i can single out which i am wanting to cast? They are both excactly the same in spelling.

You can't /cast a weapon. So use /cast for the racial.

um..yes now you see my issue. my macro reads excatly as it should I have used it succesfully since I was lvl 10. Its just as of now the tooltip has changed on its own, and it will no longer cast blood fury. All my other stuff in the macro still casts just not blood fury. Sorry if my OP wasn't clear on what my issue was.

Yes you can. /cast and /use are equivalent.

It means "Max Rank" in terms of spell syntax. In other words something like Mutilate() means "the highest rank of mutilate" instead of something like Mutilate(Rank 1) which means "rank 1 of mutilate"

I know /use and /cast can be used for both items (use) and spell, but not that static items were affected by /cast ._.

They're just like /tar and /target. /use is a shortcut for /cast

But there's certainly not any logic in that. I mean, you don't cast a weapon. You use it.

From a programming stand point there is. I'd imagine that spells and items are the same thing on the backend. Equipping an item is (apparently) the same thing as casting a spell. For the sake of that macro option items and spells both function the same way, except that items get equipped if you don't have them equipped, and used if they are equipped.

Both slash commands hit the same function in the backend. I still hate it when people use
/use
just for the sake of the short-ness when the macro didn't even need compression.
/use Frostbolt
just offends my sensibilities.
