I wish the horde got Draenei's instead of pansy Blood Elves. I've always wanted a male draenei paladin
Makes no sense though.
I love male draenei. My 72 DK is a draenei.

I love Draenei males! Of course, my favorite model is Troll Male...followed by Human male....
And yes, it's BE males who get all the hate from what I've seen. And tbh, I share it.

Wait, there are
male
Draenei?
Seriously though... I don't hate Male Draenei. I just think they look a bit silly as Magi.
And why would I ever choose to play a Male Draenei, when I can have the
prettiest-lookin' female
in the game?

Reasons I dislike male Draenei:
1) The overblown 'I'm a superman' stature. It doesn't really work in WoW, imo. And it especially falls flat when you're a dress-wearing caster, instead of a musclebound warrior/paladin
4) I loathe their combat animations. ESPECIALLY their 2h combat animations. Using a sword as a golfclub just does not work for me. And their casting animations look a bit goofy to me.
For #1... I sorta have to agree with you. However, they're not the first, nor the last to do this. There's orc warlocks, night elf mages, and tauren/night elf druids, and then there will be night elf mages, orc mages, and tauren priests. Those look more ridiculous for some reason.
Also, they kinda are superman. No, seriously. There are no evil Draenei (well, except for the few at Archidoun or however you spell it), they're pure like superman, and they have a fondness for crystals.
For #4... Oh yeah. I hate the golfclub swing. Although for some reason it doesn't look goofy on a paladin. Casting animations are fine.
I don't get all the hate; we're critiquing the cosmetic design of an
alien race in a fantasy setting
. They look strange because they are, but this strangeness is a condition of their design; Draenei aren't meant to look normal.
I don't see how their arms are over-proportioned compared to their legs for one, considering that they don't
have
normal legs. I do, however, sympathize that they could stand to be a little less beefy in the caster roles, but the same could be said for Night Elf druids, which are portrayed both in
Warcraft III
(alongside the
WoW
Broll Bearmantle figure) as being incredibly beefy.
It's all aesthetics.
That said, <3 Draenei, regardless of gender.
This.

but for a race that focuses so much on magic you'd think they'd be less bulky (like the blood elves, heh).
BE warrior soon! Tauren priest! xD

Everyone is entitled to what they think is aspecticly right or wrong with the races in wow as they wish.
I for one have no problem with male draenei, at least theres something more unique about there design (if only not for that annoying laugh of theres).
Now human and night elf males, thats a different story. Humans in wow look like something from a 1980s carboot sale toy bin, like it came off a he-man display line. complete with them trying to pretend they can look cooler with blood elf hairstyle.. its just not possible with that badly designed model.
And night elf males... they look like what happens if grandpa takes to many steroids and gets pulled on a rack. There heads are to small in proportion to there arms, and there waistline is smaller then there wrists, complete with monkey arms.
seriously, compared to male nelfs and humans, draenei arn't that bad.
Dwarfs and gnomes look like they should.

I don't hate male draenei (and am quite fond of the female ~_^), I just dislike how large they are.
I do, however, despise their mount. I refuse to play a draenei that isn't a Paladin just so I never have to ride elefail.

The fact it is still an Elekk will keep me far, far away from it. I really hate the sound effects and size of them.

I kind of hope that blizzard might one day change the models according to class as well as race. Casters should be slimmer and Melee should be bit more bulky. Unless they allow male Draenei casters to wear plate... ("Battlemages" anyone? :D )
2) I cringe at seeing them on mounts that aren't elekks.
Yeah, this hurts.. I also saw a tauren male on a star pony last night. -_- It was just wrong... seriously... I still feel violated. They do look better on the bigger mounts... I just roll a female, they look good on sabers. ^_^
3) I cringe at the thought of them trying to procreate with the females of their race. Poor girls would get squashed!
I lol'd. Maybe the girls prefer to be on top? /comment
If I was to play alliance, my preference of alliance races would be in this order, 1 being the highest, 5 being the lowest.
1. Draenei
...
5. Human (I'm already human, why would I wanna be on in a game?)
My personal 2-4 is a little different, but those 2 points we agree on and I do play Alliance. :P
...Humans in wow look like something from a 1980s carboot sale toy bin, like it came off a he-man display line. complete with them trying to pretend they can look cooler with blood elf hairstyle.. its just not possible with that badly designed model....

I am quite fond of the Draenei race. (I am thinking of changing my NE priest to Draenei as well.) However I can never seem to get a liking in the males. They look so... odd.. and... I don't know, somehow they just look wrong. :)
Thus my Shaman, Mage, Paladin & DK (priest will be too, if I decide to do the change) are all female Draenei.

Thats why no one plays as a Male Draenei. Everyones too busy playing as a Female.

I played one for about 3 months, then I got sick of them.
They're too wide & dis-proportioned for my liking. This kind of applies to all male character models in the game though (excluding blood elves, gnomes & the Cata goblins).
They'd look better to me (this applies to all male race models) if the developers dropped the idea that 'Big/Blocky = Tough' & slimmed them down a bit.
Did this guy just say that gnomes are not dis-proportional? Please tell me that i just ate too much haribo bears.

I don't dislike Draenei males at all. In fact, I had three of them (prior to faction changing to Horde). I will admit, before they introduced mount scaling, they looked rather ridiculous on some of the hoofed mounts.
