Alliance (primarily) - 27
My guildmates are all between 20 and 32 years old. I know that for sure as I've known these people 10-20 years, one of the 20 year olds is my younger brother.
My husband is Horde - 26
Our best friends are Horde - 30 and 31

You know, everyone says that the Alliance is full of little kids, but it's the same for both factions. They say it's because the Alliance races draw the younger crowds attention more, probably because of the Gnome. Well, if I was still a little kid and I saw an Orc, I would *!@# my pants. I would of been so stoked to play as an Orc as a little kid. That would of been awesome! So, I really think the age difference isn't that much different at all. There are adults, teens, and children on both factions, and mature and immature people on both factions as well.
I am 21 and I have been Horde for three years now.
I have only gotten a Dwarf Priest to level 22 or so, and that's as far as I ever made it as Alliance.
It seems like most of the other people on my realm/faction are around my age or a little older though. Vent is always a good way to figure it out. I raid a lot, so I often here a lot of different people in vent. It's easy to tell if they are a little kid, a middle aged man/woman, or some old bat who doesn't even know they are on the computer, let alone playing a video game.
Anyway, although it seems like a lot of the people I play with are around my age, a lot of them are still completely immature.
I have had 40+ year old men freak out and start raging because of the smallest things imaginable. It's ridiculous. Grow the hell up.

30 - Horde. Played Horde for a year to realize Horde never won BG's. Paid the faction change fees just to realize that Alliance doesn't win any WSG's...So I will go back to Horde once I'm done with AB to get exalted with WSG and go from there.
I'm a freelance and go with whoever wins the most.

39, started playing about 6 months after Vanilla released. I have 3 80s and a 70 alliance. Started on Alliance because that is what my buddy who got me into the game played. The 70 is a drainei i rolled when BC came out. Also had rolled a Bloodelf Warlock that i got to 70. These were mainly just to do there starting areas, and i had never leveled all the way through horde content so the lock was fun. I went back to get my 3 to 80 and never played the lock anymore, so i deleted it. I do have a orc hunter that i am trying to twink and just do Warsong Gulch with. When Cata comes out im sure i'll roll a worgen and goblin to check out those starting areas too. And as all have previously stated, you find all ages and "types" of players on both factions.
