Agreed. I think that she is extremely stupid for claiming that that stuff is offensive. She's speaking on behalf of her son. Assuming he can tlk, let him do so for his own damn self.

As I was analyzing the situation and preparing to type this post, my 'I DON'T CARE' factor took over.

I think she over-reacted. Yeah, it's her kid and all but when it comes down to it, mentally challenged people want to be just like everyone else so they shouldn't be exempt from Family Guy humour. I was more surprised that they actually got someone with Downs to play the part.
Why's that? Seems like the episode sent a reasonable message to me - those people with Down Syndrome are people just like everyone else, as in they can be nice people or they can be @#$%^&*s.

Not many people enjoy being made fun of. Now, add that on to the number of people with Down's Syndrome. I'm not
overly
surprised, just more surprised than the mere fact that they mocked the disorder.
Did you actually watch the episode?

exempt from Family Guy humour.
I'd say the world should be exempt from Family Guy "humour", but...
Agreed; or any of the spin-offs.

No, not yet. I have to wait to download it. Is it worse than I'm assuming?
No. I meant why were you surprised they got someone with Down syndrome to do the voice acting? They really didn't make fun of the disorder much at all except for a few things said by Stewie which weren't even that bad. That's why I asked if you'd seen it.

I get it, you're trying to act stupid. The quadruple post, saying that Palin isn't an idiot, etc. Good joke.

"In my family we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life. My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Governor Palin carries her son Trig around looking for sympathy and votes."
Yeah, Palin got pwnt.

Also i think that the episode did cross the line, considering the other things Family guy has said/done. This is what you think crosses the line? What about the gay gene episode, or the 'travels of the multiverse' where they have everyone kill Mort because he's a jew.. or any of the other endless examples that exist out there of the fact that Family Guy doesn't care; they just pick a random subject, create an episode around it, and let it fly. They were canceled once, I don't think they really care anymore.
