I've also seen people get upset by undercutting. Not at me, but at others through the trade channel.
Just ignore them. WoW's is a free market economy. If they don't like it then they shouldn't use the auction house.

You treat people who rage at you for undercutting them the same way you treat pernicious elitists...ignore them.

Happens all the time where your products suddenly won't move just cus people don't know how to
properly post
.
There is no such thing as 'properly posting' prices. In a free market, you are quite literally free to sell items for whatever price you want. If you sell your wares significantly lower than the market average, the only person you're hurting in the long run is yourself.

All I do is undercut by 1 copper, making mine SEEM cheaper, its like putting something up for 199g 99s 99c, someone would rather pay that than 200g.
Snd if that guy raged, he needs to wake up, economics can be a @#$%^. If it was RL, he wouldn't turn around and whine because someone sells cheaper than him.
Sometimes I purposely don't buy from people who undercut like that just because it's a ^&*! move.
That's actually a very smart move! It's what real-life retailers do all the time! Someone looking at something priced $49.99 will place it in a different mental category than something priced $50.00. We consciously know it's only a penny cheaper, but we're still subconsciously drawn to the 4 instead of the 5.
I've heard of other tricks too. For example, people tend to associate a price that ends in an even number to higher quality item. So something priced $49.98 is disproportionately more appealing than something priced $49.99.
Anyone who uses these tricks in the auction house will gain an advantage.

If I significantly undercut someone else, I sell the items faster.
How is that hurting me?
Of course it's not making the most profit I could, but t
hat doesn't hurt me
in any way (oh noes, it'll take me longer to be able to afford my Super Shiny of Niftyness).
The context of this conversation is profit, what else did you think I meant by 'hurt'?
try not to drastically undercut, but it does happen. And if I sell the item, then I'm generally content with that (even if I could have sold it for twice the price). I'm not in a hurry to make 20 bazillion gold.
Then you're not who I was talking to. You and everyone else has a right to sell items for whatever price they want. I could farm all day and sell everything for a copper and I would be perfectly well within my rights - the only drawback would be the profit I would deny myself. Everyone complaining about undercutting fails to grasp a fundamental truth about free markets.

Sometimes I purposely don't buy from people who undercut like that just because it's a ^&*! move. That's on you. Seems like a stupid move to me. If somone is posting copper ore for 3g a stack you think I should selll it for 3.1g a stack because he posted first?
I don't use any form of AH macro. I just search each item and undercut the lowest price. Which wierdly is usually someone whom undercut the person above him, so you would still be supporting an undercutter, just not the most recent one.
Really what you need to do is buy your stuff from that one guy who is always trying to sell stuff at %1000 percent markup.
Pretty much. So why not buy the one for one copper cheaper? Sure, it's only one copper, but why pay more than you have to? Your goal as a consumer should be to buy what you need for the lowest possible price. If you're not going to support the undercutter, someone else is, it's all a cycle anyway.

There is a simple solution to this, hide how much the item is for sale at.
I preferred the FFXI AH because of this. It showed the last 10 transactions, not what things are currently listed at.
People paid what they thought the item was worth, sellers got what they thought it was worth (and sometimes more) and there could be no cries about undercutting, since you don't know who listed the item first.
Ofcourse, that might be because I found some nice bargains that made me (what I thought to be when I was a wee level 13 whm) a lot of gil. Buying a stack of Fire Crystals for 11gil in Sandy then selling em for 5k at Bastok. Good times were had, indeed.
