I see this a lot with the LFD system. The tanks just run and never wait for heals. I'm DPS but I still take notice of the mana for the heals. You just need to speak up and say "MANA". If the tank won't stop just let him die.

Some people have no concept of their surroundings. The tank probably realizes he is alive with more than 75% of his health, so he thinks its okay to keep pulling.
It's the same in PvP. People just focus on what's going on right in front of their own character and dont bother paying attention to anything else. Example; the other day in WSG, I ran the flag from the Alliance base to the Horde base all 3 times and didn't get touched once. I ran right past the Alliance kids and no one even tried to chase me.
The bottom line is that some people are just tunnel-vision players and need to be slapped in the face before their blinders come off.

I'm sorry but if you have a 24K mana pool then you really outta find out what your problem is becuase you should be able to catch up. If it's a heroic it should be cake. Now if you having to heal the dps alot then its not you or the tank .. its your damage. Speak up and tell them..

1. Speak up about it. Tell the tank to wait for you to regen mana before they pull.
2. Teach them the hard way. Don't heal the tank, and then tell them to wait for you to regen mana before they pull again.
3. Leave group.

If you OOM and it's not one of the ICC heorics, it's because you're terrible. Your tank is probably playing under the assumption that you're marginally competent.
I never look at my healer's mana, as there is no reason to.

And as an additional point, I don't even look at
my own mana
when I
am
the healer.

I have met some of the oblivious tanks in seed form on my low level alts I am playing.
I said "wait til I rezz ___" after a bad pull where one DPS died (and I was low on mana) and the tank pulled 2 more times (knocking me back into combat, unable to cast my resurrection spell) and I went OOM. I continued saying "Wait, mana."
And then I cast the resurrection spell and sat to drink while the tank ran off on his own.
I was SHOCKED that the tank survived, but I did not cast one heal until I was good and ready to. The fact that the tank did survive probably means he will continue playing oblivious, but oh well.
Hardly. I pull without my healer all the time. If they ask for mana, they can drink. I'm still going to pull though. The fact is most tanks these days don't take enough damage to be worried about. Hell, I soloed H UK for fun just to see if I could do it. 1 trash pack is not going to be the end of your tank in general right now.

I had a tank complaining yesterday that I wasn't USING enough mana, since my bar was full all the time. I told him to check my trinkets and get back to me.

Happens to me often on my paladin, he thinks he can pull when I'm drinking.. and then he goes "why did i get no healz!" most annoying thing ever.
