Don't bother attempting to use any sort of logic or rationality to argue your points on a site like that. It's like throwing a rubber ball against a brick wall.
I know a number of good Christians who play WoW. Heck, one of my co-workers is Russian Orthodox, and bases his raiding schedule around when he has to attend services.
However, many fundamentalists are so "pious" (or so they claim) that anything challenging their belief structure is ignored or considered "the work of Satan". It looks like this blog is one such example.
You can see in my signature what my opinion of religion is. Beliefs are perfectly fine - as long as you clearly understand that they're your beliefs. The moment that they leave your person and start influencing people of different beliefs (or of no beliefs), then we've got a problem.

After reading the comments, I'm suprised so many people supports this.
Christian's are weird :s
Not all christians are like this, most of them have logic and such in their heads
I really hope so :o
Generalizations are frequently made, but rarely true.
As I said, I have friends who are very intelligent - and Christian. Judging anyone based on a stereotype can lead to invalid opinions.

Should we bother to point out all of the religious allegories in WoW (i.e. the Light, the Naaru, the Argent Crusade), or would they pass it off as a ploy to disguise WoW's inherent Satanism?
(of course, they are aligning themselves to more of a Scarlet Crusade mentality...)

The irony of attacking a fantasy world while believing in an invisible floating man in the sky is certainly not lost on me.

''Comment by Brian J Buurma, DDS, MS :
Thank goodness, someone finally addressing a HUGE issue for adolescents and teens, including ours! My wife and I were beginning to think we were the only ones concerned about this strange Wow thing. We cannot believe the power it seems to have over our kids. It scares us and we have been searching for answers, only to find that “Focus on the Family” and “Family Life” don’t even directly address the issue…or, if they do,
they largely ignore the obvious evil nature of it.
Rather they talk about the addictiveness of video games in general.
I think Wow needs to be dealt with
; and I am singing Robin’s praises already even though I’ve only just discovered her here today.''
Sooo, Blizz is a Satanic Company who wants their costumers to become addicted to a game. Aaaand, WoW makes your minds go like: OMG I MUST PLAY TEH GAME MOAR! F SOCIAL LIFE, I MUST RAID! WOOT!
Don't misunderstand me, I'm friends with a very believing friend. But sometimes Christians take the Bible just a little bit to serious.
''It is a relief to see a Christian defending the faith and not immoral and dangerous “games”! Thanks for bringing this up; you’ve made numerous relevant points. I believe the same goes for the Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings/Narnia hype.''
*input sarcasm* OMG! THE CATACLYSM IS HAPPENING OUTSIDE OF WOW TOO! D: THE WALLS BETWEEN REALITY AND FANTASY ARE SHATTERING!
*sarcasm off*
Seriously, how can a book make your mind go all evil?
Edit : Jesus Christ, I need to watch my spelling..

I realize many people are very head-strong in their opinions of how simple-minded religious people are, but quoting the comments of the page, and bringing them here... I don't get it. And, if you're stating that all religious people are idiots, based on everything on that page, you are very ignorant.
Beliefs are perfectly fine - as long as you clearly understand that they're your beliefs. The moment that they leave your person and start influencing people of different beliefs (or of no beliefs), then we've got a problem.
I, personally, do not follow this logic at all. How do you think Evolution came about? Someone had a belief that we evolved from lower life forms, then decided to tell others about it. And, I'm pretty sure more than half of the people in this thread believe in it. Say, someone discovers a cure to cancer... They attempt to tell others about it, and even give evidence to prove their point. Should we just laugh in their face, because they're forcing their beliefs down our throats?

DeSaad, your first mistake is expecting religious people to be rational.
