Lore:
Twaler Vondia’s talents were not of much use in his homeland of Noxus, but he was also far too old to be valuable in the field of battle. Because of his age he was discharged from the military and spent the years afterwards serving as a tailor to those in Noxus who could afford his services. He did not retire to an empty home, but his much younger wife and daughter still were in perfect condition to fight on the field of battle against Demacian forces. The family rarely saw each other because of their conflicting positions, but they still loved one another as any family did. Twaler’s life was content because of this.
But then tragedy struck. News returned to Twaler that both his wife and daughter had been killed on a mission against Demacian forces, forces led by Garen Crownguard. Twaler spiraled into a depression after this; his work suffered, his shop shut down, and eventually he was forced to live in the disgusting alleyways of Noxus. But after months of sorrow Twaler’s depression twisted into hate and fury, rage which granted back to him the strength of his youth. He broke into his old tailor shop and made off with the strongest of his materials. With the assistance of Urgot, who also sought vengeance against Garen, Twaler had this strings enchanted by Noxus mages, while he himself learned to turn his old profession into a deadly weapon. Now that he had been allowed entrance into the League he will not rest until he has avenged his families and murdered Garen.
Overview:
Twaler’s age is clear, from his long gray-white hair to his clean-shaven but wrinkled face, but he also defies it; standing tall in his great height and walking with great strength. His clothes are fine and hand-crafted, most likely by himself, with the coat-vest combination he wears hiding the many threads and needles he carries with him. These can be seen on occasion, but any but those who know him best would not be caused to think that he used them as weapons. The threads are made of a strange material which almost isn’t string, which almost falls along the lines of wire, and the needles he carries are crafted of the finest metal with tips that never lose their sting.
Twaler keeps himself composed and calm when walking the hallways of the Institute of War, but when he enters a battle or when Garen in mentioned he flies almost instantaneously into a range that one would think should kill a man of his age. But if he suffers any ill effects of the tantrum due to an elderly body he does not show it, instead he shows a mix of gracefulness and ferocity that belies everything one would gather at a first glance about him as he dashes the enchanted strings he carries around him and through the air, letting them cut into the flesh of his enemies. Records are sparse and lacking of how he fought on the fields of battle while serving as a Noxian soldier, but he power he brings to the Fields of Justice with his bizarre weaponry makes one wonder if his old tools were much different from his new ones.
Voice – Old, British, and polite for most quotes, but other quotes break into an angry growl.
Selection:
“An excellent choice, my good chum.”
Movement/Attacking:
“Tally ho!”
(Angry) “I will slice them to ribbons!”
“Very good, Summoner.”
“I shall.”
(Angry) “They will know pain!”
(Angry) “For Noxus!”
(Angry) “Prepare for pain!”
“Alright.”
“At once.”
Taunt:
(Angry) Holds arms outstretched and separated from each other, string can be seen glistening around him “Everything you say merely infuriates me further!”
(Only when using the Butler Twaler skin) (Politely) “I shall do exactly as butler does, and tidy up.”
Joke:
Does a polite and low bow than twirls shimmering string around him “My name is Twaler Jeremiah Vondia; ex Noxian soldier, ex tailor, and currently a killer of annoying gnats such as yourself.”
Laugh:
Polite and short chortle
Playing As:
Thread Traps do not provide sight, but using them into the bushes, especially in conjunction with wards, can be a good way to slow fleeing enemies.
Spinning Coil can be used defensively to escape or offensively to catch fleeing enemies.
Twaler has much fewer movement options than most assassins, make use of his slows and movement-altering Summoner Spells to make up for that.
Playing Against:
Silences prevent Twaler’s slows from being able to be used, make use of them while fleeing.
Stack armor items to counter the amount of damage Twaler dishes out.
As a relatively light character Twaler is extremely susceptible to ganks.
Possible Skins:
Classic Twaler: See Above Description.
Butler Twaler: Typical black and white butler attire.
Hobo Twaler: Brown and patchy suit and pants, also has a scruffy beard.
