My wife absolutely loves Mad Men and I liked the first 2 seasons of Shield, just never finished it. Judging from your list up there idk if you'll like it, but Fringe is an awesome show as well.

Law & Order Criminal Intent is good.
The last two seasons were awesome.

The normal Law and Order series is excellent, even after all these years, they are still as good as the original first season.
If you want something 'family' minded, could try looking up Road to Avonlea or Wind at My Back(I'm Canadian and grew up on CBC, sue me).

No sure if you can get it over there (although it might be on youtube) but I'd recommend QI.
It teaches you stuff and makes you laugh at the same time!
Reaper is decent too, although it's only 2 series long and has been cancelled, so you might want to avoid an unfinished story.

I've pretty much relegated myself to what is available on Hulu. I did watch the first season of Breaking Bad, which I really liked and am currently awaiting the second season from Netflix. The theme of the show is what gripped me from the start. The characters are interesting and (thus far) the writing and direction the story has taken has been enthralling. I wholly reccomend it.
